Lovely family session recently, granny, mum and granddaughters. Gorgeous palette of pinks, purples and mauves which my phone clearly didn't want to show you but, honestly, just gorgeous!!
Lovely workshop with Granny, mum and granddaughters. Gorgeous array of pinks, purples, mauves and lilac colours which sadly, my phone camera hasn't captured very well 🙄
Gorgeous pieces though. Well done ladies ❤️
How fab is this...
When her husband scored his first ever hole-in-one, Elaine knew exactly how to celebrate his achievement and display the golf ball.
The turf is casted and the tiny little dish was slumped into shape.
They will be glued together for stability and the one off trophy piece is complete.
Well done Elaine 🙌
Elaine has been coming to the Glasshouse for many years and she makes some gorgeous pieces of glass art work. Most of which she gives away as gifts.
Here's her latest creation. Her husband scored his first ever hole-in-one and by way of a celebration, she made him a glass plinth.
Firstly casting a piece of grass turf and then slumping a tiny dish on which the ball will sit.
Cold fusing (glueing) will hold everything in place.
Isn't it great... Love it when a plan comes together 😁
Beautiful little flower panels made recently by one of my lovely makers, Lynne. She will be using the colours of these panels to paint cards, which the glass panels will be fixed to.
Can't wait to see the finished pieces.
I've recently been making more of my little flower meadows. It really is a lesson in patience for me particularly as my old hands aren't as dexterous as they used to be
Big cup of coffee though and I'm in the zone
Love this tiny slumped dish... Very simple, in clear glass. This is going to sit on top of a piece of glass, grass turf made recently by the gorgeous Elaine.
Aloft these two will sit a golf ball. Not just any old golf ball but the one her husband scored his first hole in one with!!
What a brilliant, bespoke trophy idea
This piece is exciting... We've got the smooth, rounded edges of a full fuse going on but, we've also got texture on the top of the glass. This was achieved in one, full fuse firing which is not the norm so I'm excited to see what Beth adds to this piece on her next visit to the Glasshouse
Love this bigger piece. Made recently by a lovely lady who wanted to match it to a bathroom makeover. It's essentially a strip piece, but not dammed, so there is organic movement created in the clear glass strips as they heat which gives that lovely soft, slumped appearance. Almost running water like...
I love it, I think Lynn did a great job.
It seems ages since I made any of these little flower gardens, I'd almost forgotten how... These little pieces are now for sale in the Knaresborough and Pateley Bridge.
Also, new workshop dates on previous post and on the website www.glasshousefusion.co.uk
I'm looking forward to seeing some old and new faces in the Glasshouse and excited to see what you'll all be making 😁
I love making glass hangers. I also love how you guys take my process and stamp your own unique style on your pieces... Individuality is important... X
The weather may be wet and miserable but this little beauty still shines through
These two lovely ladies came to do a workshop recently. It was onepart of Lesley's 50th birthday celebrations.
Apparently it was also the same day as 'Ladies Day' at Redcar races, hence the hats. Not the most ladylike hats I'll grant you but, at short notice, it was all I had to hand 😁
We had a super fun day. Joyce and Lesley were great sports and they made great pieces.
Happy birthday Lesley... I know those celebrations are ongoing 🥂🍾
I love this garden hanger. Made recently by a very lovely lady when she came for a visit to the Glasshouse with her daughter, Karen a d she made the hanger as a gift for her other daughter.
I can see so many shapes within it...
An angel, a fish, a bird...
What can you see?

Remember that gorgeous piece of fossil vitra I showed you a few weeks back... Here's the next stage. Aren't those butterflies gorgeous!!
I love textured glass. However, a piece that has been contour fused, to create texture, will never be as robust as a piece of work that has been full fused. This gorgeous little flower vase was made here in the Glasshouse a couple of years ago. It was a lovely piece and Colette enjoyed the making process.
Sadly it arrived back here a couple of months ago in bits 😢
I've reimagined it and hopefully, when it arrives back to Colette, she will like it just as much although it is very different.
