๐ In 2023, we proudly welcomed our first cohort of Cumbrian delegates, beginning their journey of growth and development.
๐ป This cohort has progressed their knowledge and practical skills in coding and programming and their dedication and passion have truly shaped each workshop.
๐ Here's to a year of achievements, challenges conquered, and the future opportunities for our learners that lie ahead, in the ever-evolving tech industry.

Last week on Friday, we had our final session for our first CODE Cumbria cohort with Aditya Kadam.
๐ป Our learners have developed their programming skills, made connections, and improved their confidence in their own tech abilities.

โญ๏ธ We couldn't be prouder of our learners from our first Cumbrian cohort. They have progressed and developed their coding knowledge and come a long way since their first session.
Here is a snapshot of some of their Python data presentations, and online sessions showing their hard work and dedication over the last few weeks, with the help of facilitators: Andre Chicrala, Aditya Kadam & Maharani Hariga.
๐งโ๐ป This week, our Code Cumbria learners had an online employability workshop on Impostor Syndrome delivered by Rani. Learners and facilitators shared their past experiences of feeling this way and looked at how to work through this in the future.
Delegates also had an online tech session where they have been exploring how to test and debug their code with Adi ๐พ
This week, Cumbrian learners have been exploring Data Science with Andre Chicrala, looking at Numpy and operations with Arrays through online sessions.
Delegates have not only learnt new skills but have had a lot of fun with the process ๐
There has also been a session with Caitlin Bourne, our Programme Success Manager, focusing on how to elevate your CV.

CODE Cumbria | Creating opportunities in digital employment CODE Cumbria is a flexible programme that creates opportunities in digital employment and addresses the skills shortage within the tech sector through the delivery of Digital Skills Bootcamps.
This week our Cumbrian learners looked at how to write a strong cover letter that delivers impact with facilitator Caroline Canty and also have further explored Laravel through practical coding sessions with Aditya Kadam.

This week, our Cumbria learners have taken a step forward with their React sessions, working towards understanding advanced concepts such as using external libraries and packages, routing, context API, and the redux tool kit.
This evening, learners will be putting this knowledge to the test in a practical React workshop with Aditya Kadam.
This week our CODE Cumbria delegates have had a session with Aditya Kadam on using and implementing React, an open-source, front-end JavaScript library used in web development, with the final session on this topic concluding tonight.

The learners also had a session with Alice Ashcroft on LinkedIn - discussing how to create your personal brand and how to increase engagement and make connections.
This week CODE Cumbria were joined by the inspirational Raeesa Parker to hear all about the project she completed on the programme and to start coming up with ideas for their own projects. We can look forward to seeing projects on travel pages, Dinowars, Wainwright walks and many more!
Tonight, the learners will get to meet Andre Chicrala for the first time who will introduce them all to Python!

This week kicked off with team introductions and an exciting overview of the journey ahead in this course.
In our first session, Aditya, our Technical Facilitator, expertly covered GitHub version control, equipping Cohort 1 with valuable insights and their first assignment.
Next up, Paul, Managing Director at Scale-Ability, led a workshop where our cohort tackled CV submission and crafting a Learner Plan. This challenged participants to assess learning objectives for employability and technical growth.
