Accidental Brewery & Micropub
Craft beer brewery- Morecambe. Tap room/bar, located in Lancaster, UK. Serving our own craft beers.
Manor Detail – Pale ale 5.1%
Look, we love the holy trinity hop combination that makes up one of our iconic Polly’s beer in Spur – Azacca, Citra and Simcoe is a pretty hard combination to beat when it comes to those high juice, low bitterness vibes direct from the United States that inspired us to brew in the first place.
Whilst it feels sacrilege to break up such an iconic hop combo, there’s nothing our brewers enjoy more than tweaking combinations slightly to get a feel for how certain hop flavours express themselves when held up against other hop varieties, usually executed in a kickass pale ale to test the smashability.
Manor Detail does this and some – eschewing Simcoe for another Polly’s stalwart in Mosaic, to create a beer ultra high on the fruit-forward flavours – expect a fruit salad of juicy mango, fresh cut citrus fruits, blueberries, and tangerine, backed up with a whisper of bitterness for balance.
Just added… Blood Orange Raspberry sour beer - 4.8% fruited sour -Combining the zesty brightness of blood orange with the juicy sweetness of ripe raspberries, this ultra-refreshing mixed fermentation sour beer delivers a perfect balance of tart and sweet with a crisp, tangy finish. Opening Times

Ain't no smoothie or pastry sours here; just some honest to goodness tarty-boys.
Holy Goat's 2024 Edition of Unicorn Wizard is made with Spanish White Peaches. It's a super refreshing, hella sour, and has tons of punchy peach body.
Then You've got the Accidental's BA Rhubarb Saison. I think this has taken on more character from the barrel than any sour I can recollect. Rather than the rhubarb being prominent, it very much accents the cider and merlot that give this beer its fullness.
What an absolute pleasure to have, Dos Almas, (Bea & Ian), play for us yesterday evening. It was an unplugged, super chilled evening. A great time was had by all! Thanks guys. Come back anytime, you lifted the spirits of everyone who walked through the door!

Well the day is upon us! We are the official ‘Pouring Station’ so when you’ve done the deed or not… come on down for a drink! Open from 6pm tonight!
Two photos taken moments apart, last Saturday 22nd June 2024. The gentleman sent these to a friend when he had looked at them that evening. His long-standing friend in Canada, who is working in the Rockies…
His answer will surprise you! [29/06, 15:42) got this: “Indeed, the Old Stables pub in Lancaster has its share of spectral tales. The current building, dating back to the 17th century, is reputedly haunted by several spirits. Among them is a spectral nun who once escorted the condemned to Gallows Hill. Additionally, many executed spirits are said to linger, perhaps still seeking their final drink! The pub’s rich history includes housing Jacobite soldiers and allegedly concealing a secret tunnel leading to Lancaster Castle. Interestingly, it boasts a gravity-fed cellar, with the castle rocks above keeping the beer and ale refreshingly cool!” Maybe the headless guy is the ghost of someone executed. 😁
[29/06, 15:43] Linda: Yes, the Old Stables pub in Lancaster has a reputation for being haunted. It’s one of the most haunted pubs in the area. The pub is located on Penny Street, which is home to a ghost of its own. According to historic notes, a headless phantasm used to materialize in the bedroom of a young girl so frequently that she and her siblings came to regard the ghost as their roommate. lancaster lished

Vibrant Forest - Pupa - NEIPA - 4.5% built to sit somewhere between West and East coast, the Symbiosis series focuses on the idea of building on what they knew about hops and how they compliment and contrast against each other. Pupa is the next stage in the evolution. They are taking the hops from the limelight and moving towards the yeasts that play just an important role in flavour. Expect masses of tropical fruits bursting from the can as hops and yeast dance to create a sensual panoply of aromas. Oats lend a luxurious mouthfeel and low bitterness helps to accentuate this beer into a long and juicy finish. Opening Times

Spur is a massive in-house favourite here at Polly’s with Arron routinely naming it as his favourite beer that we produce, and the proof is in the pudding – the hop bill of Azacca, Citra and Simcoe bounces with Um-Bongo levels of tropical flavour, featuring a full on fruit salad of papaya, peach, tangerine and mango on both the nose and flavour. Slathered with our LA3 yeast culture for massive hop suspension, this is a beer that is 100% hazy, dank, and juicy.
Light and refreshing on a summer’s evening!

Just added…Vibrant Forest Brewery’s Faithful Steed a traditional German style unfiltered Pilsner. 4.5% ABV. We’ve taken a base grist of Pilsner malt with a touch of Vienna, and hopped it with Perle, Magnum, Hallertau Mittelfruh and Saaz. We then fermented with a German lager yeast (WLP-830) and lagered the resulting brew for 6 weeks. Faithful Steed is a clean, crisp and well bodied Pils with a refreshing floral and citrus hop bitterness
Polly’s Brew Co - Mix Lane - 4.8% American Pale Ale - 4.Those who have followed us here at Polly’s for long enough will know that we love to meld the old school with the new school here on our beers. Those incredible flavour-packed beers of our burgeoning years as craft beer drinkers are always in our mind whenever we traverse that line between new school soft, pillowy haze craze and crisp, clean pint smashers, and this was fully in mind when we developed the recipe for Mix Lane. A classic C-hop pairing of Citra and Centennial are doing the goods on this beer; the eternal hype hop Citra bringing an absolute swag bag of freshly cut citrus notes - think pink grapefruit, lime and tropical fruits in abundance - to play off the prickly pine needle and earthy notes that Centennial brings to the party.
Polly’s Brew Co - Blue Roses - 3.2% Session IPA
What they believe…We’ve definitely noticed a shift in what our drinkers want over our six years as an active brewery. From those early Loka Polly hop-drenched DDH IPAs, to the peak-lockdown DIPA, TIPA and QIPA fever craze to today, there’s been a wonderful evolution of trends that have made us have to think on our feet constantly and innovate within the parameters of what our fans and drinkers are seeking in their beer. With the current shift heading toward low and no beers, we’re eager to pack that flavour profile of a typical Polly’s beer into a smaller ABV. Small IPAs were a cult style in our first year at Polly’s and we’ve brought them back with aplomb – Blue Roses takes the baton carried by those bushy tailed and bright eyed brewers and takes it firmly into 2024.

Craft beer bar & nano-brewery.
We are Lancaster’s first nano-brewery and Micropub.
Situated in the historic city of Lancaster in Lancashire, close to the town centre in the upstairs of a building dating back to the late 1800s; our micro-pub has a wooden vaulted ceiling with period features including an original Lancaster stone wall. It is quirky and comfortable and people love to relax and socialise in such a welcoming environment.
The brewery is family run and we love nothing better than sharing our passion of craft beer and brewing with our customers. You will be able to see the nano-brewery behind the bar alongside fermenters bubbling away as we serve craft beer.
We have 10 craft keg lines and 2 cask pumps. We serve our own craft beers, brewed on the premises along with many other exciting guest beers from leading craft brewers in the country - Cloudwater, Wylam, Verdant, Wiper & True, Northern Monk, North Brewing Co to name but a few.
Keep an eye on our page for opening times and new, exciting beers we have ready to serve.
