Ramplin Building Contractors
Ramplin Building Contractors: Crafting Dreams into Reality.
Really happy with the outcome on this job.
We had to remove the slates carefully (although we did have a few more broken slates than planned) strip the battens from two sides of this roof and cover with felt and new battens. We noticed that the lead valley needed attention so we had removed the old lead and refitted new.
Once the roof was covered we then fitted the original slates and also added a new roof window too.
The ridges were also removed and fitted using a dry ridge system on the hips and using sand and cement for the top ridges.
Copper splashbacks fitted yesterday along with an under counter sink and new kitchen tap.
Copper effect sockets replaced the existing white sockets.

Love these Marley Ludlow tiles that we fitted on the house project at St John’s earlier this year!
With the weather we’ve had so far this year, we are glad to be water tight on this project.
Helping out a solar company today by supplying the digger and digging a trench for them to run their feed to the solar panels.
What a day for it.

Current update on the home project.
Stud walls are in and now ready to first fix upstairs for the master bedroom, en-suite and walk in wardrobe.
Next stage will be to plasterboard throughout and begin plastering.
After being absent for a few days due to the weather conditions, we have now made good progress on another panel today for this large chapel conversion.
Acrylic panels fitted on the kitchen replacing the old tiles.
Ash oak flooring and new skirting boards fitted throughout this open dining room and kitchen.
It was a pleasure to work with such great clients and we hope to see them again soon for returning projects they have on their newly brought home.

We’ve made a good start today on this job with a lot of making good and a first light scratch. We will follow up with full render finish for this large rear wall on a converted chapel.
Recent rendering and fully decorated on a job we have been on late last year.

We are very pleased with the outcome of this double story extension in Tavistock that was completed in the summer this year.
This has given the clients are much more practical space given it’s extra bedroom and en-suite upstairs.
More photos to follow of the utility room.
Really impressed with these porcelain tiles that are being laid on the Calstock project we have been on these past few months.
It won’t be long until this project is completed.
Finished photos will be uploaded soon.

Our stage of work has now been completed at progym.
This was a complete rip out, with stud walls built on the external part of the walls, adding in ceiling joists to an open void, plasterboard on the ceiling and studded wall. Finishing with tape and joint filled.
We also had to knock through to make an opening so we could achieve an easier access from one room to the other.
It is now ready for decorating and second fix for the electrics.
Time to fill it with gym equipment 💪
Work has now started at 12 St. John’s.
This is a project me and my partner are now currently doing and we really look forward to getting this underway.
Progress pictures to come.
Rendering has begun on the extension this week

Tonight is our Christmas works party. Not sure how we’ll be tomorrow but let’s not think that far ahead!
Merry Christmas from us all.
A bit of an update from last week.
Roof trusses are now on, we still have a little bit of work to do on the roof but it is almost there with felt and batten to fit and then plenty of slates to follow.
This has been a challenging roof with having three gable ends but with the help and design from and their excellent service this has made the job much easier to do.
