What’s the difference between physical and chemical sunscreens?

Physical sunscreens sit on the skin surface, sunlight is reflected away.

Chemical sunscreens filters absorb and deactivate UV rays, changing light energy to heat.

So... Why should you avoid chemical filters in sunscreen?

Most chemical sunscreens are made up of small particles that can be absorbed into your skin, some of these include oxybenzone (actually banned in many countries)! It can even be found in mother’s milk.
