Stephen Leak Sorry need to get this off my chest. Parts off this I have just read a post thats been used to attack Paul Griffin and the former BNMAA members and instructors. Yes what Paul did was wrong (as per a court decision). But you are all forgetting something. Paul Griffin shock the martial arts world and brought about great and needed change. He made everyone wake up to the poor practices that had been used in martial arts clubs for years. He brought about health & safety change, safeguarding issues (I helped with this via Somerset Police), He introduced the need for proper legislation. He insisted on qualifications and regular examinations for those running clubs and associations. Paul was a pioneer. He should be thanked for what he did. He showed me how to run my clubs safely and professionally. He also taught me not to keep throwing all our clubs money at the money grabbing big associations that dictated what we did or didnt do whilst sitting in their big houses and driving flash cars (Roy Stanhope, Peter Allen, and all the other big wigs). Paul upset these people by setting us free from their controlling ways. I think its time some people wrote to Paul Griffin and thanked him. And Apologised for their lack of understanding and support. He brought a lot of us together and created a worldwide network of friends. His moment of stupidity (which I know he regrets) caused his downfall. But where Was Scott and Peter Green? They had plenty out of the BNMAA. They was not stood next to Paul when he was in the dock. No they walked away clean as a whistle. They let Paul take the full brunt off what came. Shame on them and shame on anyone that now stands by them. They were the most crooked of all. Sorry it long but Paul Griffin is now and always be my friend.

Karate International Martial Arts Association Awards Night 2014 - Leeds
Seacroft Club
As of 1st January 2014 KIMAA and BFKJA will no longer be affiliated to FEKO but will become an independent organisation in it own right. All current memberships will be honoured.
We intend on being a fairer and more modern Service Provider to the martial arts industry in the UK and offer truly credible qualifications and recognition of external qualifications from credible sources such as colleges and universities (FEKO do not recognise these).
We will also operate a fairer grade recognition policy that does not favour friendships but recognises commitment and service to the martial arts.
