🌟 Talking about mental health today feels important as I have so much to share about my journey. I've made significant changes in my life—I’ve moved around lots, underwent life-changing surgery, changed careers and that’s just the tip of the iceberg 😆🩷
This year, whilst also doing UGC, I have trained to become a living experience mental health trainer for KUF, supporting those with complex emotional needs in health, social care, & criminal justice.
Becoming a freelance mental health trainer has led me to embrace my own struggles and using them as beacons for others. As I prep to deliver my first online session next month, it’s a step closer to making mental health talks relatable and engaging. For me, being a living experience trainer means truly understanding the challenges, and it's a passion and pleasure to guide others through those. I have always been quite the striver and beginning to break the stigma of personality disorders is something I am truly passionate about 🩷
Finding UGC has been for me, the most ultimate act of self-care. I've come a long way and take immense pride in my progress, knowing there are more adventures ahead 🌈💚

Striving for perfection in my new work-from-home routine can be trickier than expected! From going to never working at home to working from home all the time, it's been quite the adjustment. 🏠❤️ But - don't get me wrong! I'm filled with gratitude for this opportunity!
Tomorrow, I have some online training as part of my journey to becoming a mental health trainer, sharing my lived experiences, which I feel passionate and am excited about 🎓✨ and today I’ve been working on my website updates..
Let's be real though, sometimes I catch myself spending way too much time on social media. 😅📱 So, I've decided to embrace imperfection and find the balance between productivity and taking breaks. It's a work in progress….
How about you? Have you faced any challenges in finding the perfect routine if you work from home? Let's share our experiences and tips in the comments below👇

🫶🏽 Living with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) can be challenging, but it has also taught me a lot about myself. One thing I've learned is that I have high expectations for myself and others. While this can be a good thing in some ways, it can also be a source of stress and disappointment when those expectations aren't met…
🫶🏽 Another aspect of BPD that I've experienced is the lack of a gap between feeling something and reacting to it. This can sometimes make it difficult to manage intense emotions and respond in a thoughtful and constructive way…
🫶🏽 I am learning everyday. Through this Instagram and TIKTOK, I want to connect with others who may be going through similar experiences with BPD or mental health challenges in general. Let's share our stories and support each other on our journeys towards healing! Together, we can break the stigma and create a more compassionate and understanding world 🌎 ❤️

Learning to let go of high expectations has been a big part of my recovery journey and still is. It's not always easy, especially when it comes to friendships, relationships and work - but awareness is the first step ⭐️
In ACT therapy, I learned about schemas and how people with personality difficulties often have high expectations as a form of control. Today, I'm proud to say I'm making progress. And that’s good enough!
Speaking of no expectations, Here’s a pic of my first clothing market stall last month at ! Funny enough, I had zero expectations for it, and it turned out to be a blast 🫶🏽🤠👢⭐️

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY ⭐️
Here’s to strong women, may we know them, may we be them and may we raise them! I remember working in a prison as an art tutor when I’d first finished my teaching degree and collaboratively my learners created a Mosaic inspired by women empowering women. It was the best collaborative group work I’ve ever facilitated and was even displayed in the canteen within the establishment!
(Wish I had a photo, but no photography was allowed)
I’m emotionally unstable…
Great tag line right 😂 Well that was my diagnosis back in Summer 2020.
Borderline Personality Disorder or Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder.
Which would you prefer? Probably neither for me!
Breaking the stigma of personality disorders is something I want to be and proud to be part of. Just like anxiety, ADHD, autism or BPD theres often a spectrum and flexibility and support and understanding is usually what’s required.
Here are some of the ways I can think or feel:
* lonely
* overwhelmed by the strength of your emotions and how quickly they change
* like there is something inherently wrong with you, and that it's your fault if bad things happen to you because you deserve them
* that you don't know what you want from life, or what you like or dislike
* like you're a bad person, or not a real person at all
* like you are a child in an adult world
* like no one understands you, or you're not like other people and will never be able to understand them
* that people are either completely perfect and kind, or bad and hurtful, and there's no middle ground (this is sometimes called splitting, or black-and-white thinking)
* like the world is a scary and dangerous place, and you want to run away and hide
So guys I’m going through it. I know for a fine fact I am not alone. Friends and loved ones alike have reached out to me. But I want my platform to be transparent. There’s no buzzy, light ending to this post. I just want you to know you’re not alone if you’re struggling right now, regardless of if you have a diagnosis or not 🥺
PS I bought this crochet set from Vinted and it really does look like little eggs 🍳 🤣
