Last week we joined Wetherby and District Foodbank in celebrating their 10 year anniversary at Walton Village Hall 💚

Since October last year, we’ve been supporting the charity by donating our time every week to help them with social media management. The lovely Emma does a fantastic job in putting together their posts every week, and we work behind the scenes to help with the growth of the pages, engagement and amplification of their messages!

The foodbank & all of its volunteers do an amazing job every week to help those in need, and last year provided over 25,000 meals, which is just incredible.

Please support your local foodbank if you can, they rely on donations from the public and are a real lifeline when individuals and families find themselves in a difficult spot.

So lovely to catch up with Emily & Isabelle from Evolve Lettings at their gorgeous office at Bowcliffe Hall today!☀️

I’m always happy to sit down with local businesses and share marketing advice and answer questions about social media.

The Evolve team are smashing it at the moment and really making their mark in the industry, it’s been so great watching the business flourish since its launch in September, and long may it continue👏

🐰Happy Easter to all our clients, suppliers, friends and family! After a very busy March, I’m so ready for a long Easter weekend and some time to switch off!

➡️Swipe to take a look at a few of the things that have kept me busy this month, including: a fab International Women’s Day event at The Faversham hosted by Laura from House of Coco & Siobhan at Interior curve, collaborations with clients, two kids & all their busy agendas (!), a new puppy in the house, a broken laptop (not an ideal start to a Monday morning), surviving a working week without Charlie Hobson Coach about, making a fabulous donation with TRUST Networking to The Jordan Legacy, networking, and presenting… plus all our usual client work in between… as well as finding out we’ve sold our house! 🏡

I’m hoping for a quieter April but something tells me it will be more of the same! Wouldn’t have it any other way though!🖤

We’ll be closed over the Easter weekend & back on Tuesday, have a good one!🐣🍫

We are delighted to announce that yesterday we made a fantastic donation of £5,000 to The Jordan Legacy, thanks to the ongoing membership and support of our members in the last 12 months.

As TRUST Networking operates as a Not For Profit networking group, we can make this donation through the remainder of our membership fees (after running costs) to local causes close to our hearts. After a vote earlier this year, we made the decision to support The Jordan Legacy in 2024 & beyond.

Across the UK, more than 6,000 people die by su***de each year, with no downward movement in these numbers for the past two decades. The Jordan Legacy’s mission is to help us move toward a ‘zero su***de society’ which, which in their eyes, is a society that is willing and able to do all it can to prevent all preventable su***des.

Steve Phillip, Founder of The Jordan Legacy, joined us yesterday to accept our donation and commented: "To continue to do the work we do in helping to prevent su***des, The Jordan Legacy relies on private donations, as well as financial and practical support from business communities, which is why I'm delighted and extremely grateful that we have been chosen, by TRUST Networking as the cause they have chosen to support for 2024 and beyond. We're very much looking forward to this being a wonderful collaborative partnership, where The Jordan Legacy can add as much value to TRUST, as they have done so far for us."

Chairman of TRUST Networking, Warren Coates, added: “We are absolutely thrilled to donate £5,000 to The Jordan Legacy to support the amazing work they continue to do in helping to prevent su***des, and like them we're very much looking forward to working together to both help them achieve their very challenging goals and at the same time raise awareness of our member’s services, so that we can increase our collaboration in the years to come.”

We’d like to take a moment to say a big thank you to all of our members for making this possible, and our thanks must also go to John, Marisa & the team at The Bridge Hotel and Spa Walshford who host us every week & provide a fantastic home for our group.

NEWS: Instagram is currently experimenting with the integration of carousels within Reels.

The potential of this feature is particularly exciting given the popularity of Reels as a content format on Instagram. By exploring various ways to present content, Instagram aims to enhance user engagement and broaden the platform’s appeal.

While there’s no official announcement yet regarding the widespread availability of the feature, the advanced design of the interface suggests that Instagram is making significant progress in its testing phase.

This stat might surprise some people, especially since we’ve heard ‘Facebook is dead’ from people quite a few times over the past 12 months (it isn’t).

Now we’re not saying if you’re not using Facebook for your business you should automatically jump on it now… much like when clients ask us what social media networks they should be on, it’s all about knowing who your customer is, and where you’re most likely to reach them. You don’t necessarily need to be on every single platform going, focus on where your time is going to be most effectively spent. And don’t automatically discount LinkedIn when you see these stats, as that may be the best place to be for your business!
