Top Tip Tuesday - Did you know that most have a 'Core' network and a 'Non Core' network. The price you receive on a Friday or Monday will most likely be for the 'Core' network only and there are surcharges added to the remaining sites, between 1 pence to even 15 pence extra.
Site status' change daily but the below image gives an estimation of how many sites are at 'Core' based on recent site lists from the below card providers.

Exciting news at Driving Down today!! We're officially launching our new Infuelencer Report for all UK businesses using fuel cards
'How does it work? What does it do?' So glad you asked...
Simply send an Excel transaction report with your fuelcard drawings to our [email protected] email address. A full report will then be returned to you breaking down the following:
- Identifying all surcharge usage on your cards. This includes non core, non bunker, surcharge sites on bunker cards, supermarket usage on fixed priced cards & highlighting which cards used it & when.
- A full summary of all premium usage on the cards & unleaded drawings on a card that doesn't apply a fixed rate for unleaded.
- A breakdown of all drawings by card name, by site name & by product, to better analyse your fuel usage over the specific period and identify any irregularities
- A full hints and tip sheet which will give you advice on where you can be saving further by potentially changing your type of card, adding an additional network or using a more cost effective site in the radius of a current transaction
Our aim is ensure all UK businesses are getting the most cost effective deal on their and using those cards the most cost effective way. This report will support that and we hope become a useful reporting tool to all businesses.

With the chancellor announcing the 5 pence drop in fuel duty we wanted to shed some light on what that means for your fuelcard price.
Each reseller is different and can price their customers their own way, this insight is based on what we have seen across our account base.
Any branded fuelcards (BP, Shell, Esso & Fastfuels) are charged at the point of transaction, so if you have a branded card your price should have been reduced by 5 pence per litre as of the 24.03.2022.
Any bunkering fuel card (UK & Keyfuels) will be dependent on when your provider bought stock. As this product is usually based on a weekly lagged pricing it means the price is based on already bought and you may or may not see the drop. It is worth contacting your provider to find out.
The more concerning news is that the wholesale market has spiked AGAIN and therefore prices for W/C 28.03.2022 are going up over 10 pence a litre.
Our advice is to fill up your vehicles ASAP to their maximum where possible and take advantage of this fuel duty reduction and the lower rate this week.
