I think I need a hobby 😂 I used to laugh at my partner eyeing up light fittings at every place we visited, restaurants, shops, offices, I thought he was crackers!
I have moulded into him 🙈
We are always looking for work. Been self employed is no walk in the park, if the phone doesn’t ring then no work comes in, if no work comes in, we can’t pay our bills.
Luckily we are well established these days and receive a lot of recommendations. But it doesn’t stop us looking at fuseboard and light fittings on our travels.
We are constantly looking for ways to adapt and evolve to keep with the times.
Be yourself own boss they said! It will be fun they said! Pick your own working hours, take holidays when you want!
What they didn’t tell you was the phone rings all hours of the day, you sleep eat and breath the business you run, your business is your child it needs feeding constantly and nurturing in order to grow.
We work extremely hard to the point of exhaustion, even on days off your not really off because stock needs order, vans need maintaining, paper work needs filling or sending.
We are one of many little businesses trying to make a success of ourselves to provide a better future for our children.
