One of the best things about the summer holidays is having a little helper around to lend a hand with my orders. 🤩
And I do love it when Ruby takes an interest in what I do, it's important to me that she grows up seeing a hard-working Mum with a successful business! ✨

Today is her birthday 🥳 my big girl is 8 🥳 and every year I make her special t-shirts/pyjamas to help make it even more special, she gets so excited that I've made it for her.
It's nice to have her understanding what I do and showing her appreciation for it - the best testimonial I can ever have! ✨

Throwback to this lovely personalised order that I did last summer - it must have been such a nice moment for the family. 💖👶

As you hopefully know by no, I specialise in Custom Workwear, but I also really enjoy doing bespoke personalised items and have had the pleasure of helping bring some sparkle to lots of special events. ✨

We're coming up to the halfway point of the summer holidays, how are all you parents coping? 😳

I am enjoying having more time to spend with Ruby and Arlo, but it's hard work balancing looking after them with keeping on top of my orders! 😱

So if you're struggling and wishing they were back at school, I totally get it. But... you've got this💪, soon they'll be back in class and we'll be missing them! 🫣

Who's been watching the Olympics? ✨

We were absolutely wowed by Simone Biles and all the gymnasts last week.🤸‍♀️🤸

Last year Ruby attended Summer Camp at Leeds and she was lucky enough to meet himself... She was over the moon to meet him and have her hoodie signed by him - it's a memory she'll never forget (me neither!)

I have followed Nile for years and met him for the first time at the rink when he was training for DOI ⛸️⛸️ such a genuine, down to earth guy!

So we're thinking about him a lot while watching the games in Paris! Leeds are bringing home some amazing medals 🥇🥈🥉

I'm sure it was only last week when we were getting back from Thailand!

It’s been a busy summer holiday so far, joining these two rascals in Spain where they were visiting their grandparents. ✨
We're back in the UK now and I'm going to be working, although it will be on less hours than usual until they go back to school.

We're looking for local places to visit and fun things to do, who can recommend somewhere in Leeds or West Yorkshire? 🤩

For International Day of Friendship✨ , this is a shout-out to all the friends and family who have supported their loved ones when we set up and run our own businesses.

We've absolutely loved working with them to create custom clothing that helps their staff stand out and build trust with their customers.

Charlotte was so impressed with the quality of our sweatshirts that she even ordered a personalized one for herself and plans to place another order later this year. 🤩

“We usually have a staff change in September with younger staff going off to university and college. We’ll be ordering more uniforms, possibly with some new features like pockets to make our lives easier.”

I am now away until 1st August!!

I am carrying on my birthday celebrations in the Lakes for 2 nights with Hubby, then jetting off to Spain to see my parents and pick my babies up 🩷🩵 They flew out there on Tues with their Grandma!

I will respond to messages on Wednesday when I will be back at work but please bare in mind I have the children at home so will be slower than usual. 🙈

People feel a sense of security because I’ve got the uniform on."

As the school holidays get started, kids everywhere are feeling chuffed they don't have to wear a uniform for the next six weeks (I know mine are!)

But, our local attractions are going to get busier and busier, meaning uniforms are going to become more important than ever for the people that work there.

When Charlotte opened Kids about tarn, she didn't originally plan to dress her team in the same clothes: "I didn’t want to wear a uniform, but people don’t recognise you as working for the business,” she told us. “Having the t-shirts and hoodies makes the team stand out and makes us appear really ‘present’ for customers if they want anything. Now, I would always recommend a business has a uniform!” ✨

So back in January Arlo started his 30hrs at his Pre-school, this meant a lot for me and my business, it allowed me to have more time to work. 🤩

Having a small business, gaining more time to spend on your business is very precious, you have to take all the extra time you can to help your business flow. ✨

And just like that... the time has come round so quickly - Arlo's leaving Pre-school this week to start Big Boy School in September 😱

I am 100% not ready for this, emotionally or mentally 😬 BUT there is an advantage for my business... MORE TIME!! 🥳 🌟

When Charlotte from Kids About Tarn got in touch with us we knew there was a challenge ahead... The BIGGEST order we'd had (at the time), we knew the jumpers and t-shirts needed to be GREAT quality.

In case you haven't heard of them, Kids About Tarn is a busy soft-play centre in Yeadon which has a cute little role play village, a café, and a party room.

Charlotte and her team are CONSTANTLY on the go—cooking and serving food for families, not to mention tidying up after the children have had fun!
Given the nature of the work, they needed uniforms that were both durable and easy to clean, especially as they'd had garments before that had bobbled or faded after a couple of washes.

We sourced fabrics to fit with the colours of her brand, and they look so smart matching the decoration of their rooms. Best of all, she tells us the clothes have stood the time: 'We’ve had these jumpers for over a year now and they still look brand new, so I’m pleased with them!’ 😍

In July 2023, we got an order that was, at the time, our largest to date:
20 jumpers and 20 t-shirts for Yeadon-based soft play centre,

A year later, we visited owner Charlotte to see how their uniforms were holding up and to hear about the impact they’ve had on her business.
We chatted about how essential it was for her to have hardwearing clothing for her team, an unexpected benefit of having people recognise her brand and why she's so passionate about supporting local businesses.
