Nordic x Filipino Supperclub

Experience a culinary journey that blends the best of Nordic and Filipino flavors in an unforgettable dining event. We’re thrilled to bring you a unique supper club that combines the essence of our Nordic travels with the merging of the “No Forks Given” and Hanamatsuri takeover concepts together. If you missed our last pop-up or our “No Forks Given” supper club in June, this is your chance to get the best of both worlds.

We will be serving a 17 course tasting menu at a table seating up to 16 people which will be decorated with banana leaves to add a feel of dinner in a Filipino home.

We have a 4 glass natural wine pairing from to complement the tasting menu, priced at £35 per person, alternatively, wine can be purchased by the glass with non-alcoholic beverages available.

We are excited to collaborate with North Star Coffee shop and utilize their new events space, “the coffee hub.” Our event will take place on Thursdays to Saturdays over two weeks. Nordic x Filipino Supperclub

Join us as we bring the inspiration from our Nordic trip to life in a unique dining experience.

Similar to our last pop up, you will be a sat in a chefs table where you will be having a 17 course tasting menu.
The tasting menu is priced at £70 pp with an optional wine pairing by or can be purchased by the glass. We will also be serving non-alcoholic beverages.

We are excited to collaborate with again and utilize their new events space, “the coffee hub.” Our event will take place on Thursdays to Saturdays over two weeks, so book early to secure your spot as spaces are limited.

Time: Our doors open at 6:45pm and food will be served from 7pm onwards.

🇵🇭Nicko Lachica at Hanamatsuri

Chef Nicko Lachica is set to take over the kitchen from July 10th to August 4th, offering a unique dining experience with his 20-course Filipino Tasting menu. Chef Nicko Lachica will be cooking live in front of you, sharing the flavors and stories from his food research trips to the Philippines, paying homage to his culture and upbringing.

The intimate restaurant space at Hanamatsuri can only accommodate 8 guests at a time, creating a private and exclusive dining atmosphere that mimics the feeling of walking into a Filipino home.

There will be two sittings per day from Thursday to Sunday.

Thursday - Saturday times:
1st sitting: 5:45pm - 8:15pm
2nd sitting: 8:30pm - 11pm

Sunday times :
1st sitting: 12:30pm - 3pm
2nd sitting: 3:30pm - 6pm

The tasting menu is priced at £65 pp. An optional wine pairing by or cocktail pairing from the other third of the dijonboys, Jamie Layall.

Nicko Lachica at HanaMatsuri.

🏆“Rising star” Oliver Award winning chef Nicko Lachica will be taking over the HanaMatsuri restaurant from 10th of July - 4th August.

🇵🇭Chef Nicko Lachica will be will be offering a 10 course Modern Filipino tasting menu, featuring new flavors that pay homage to his Filipino heritage and upbringing. Guests can also enjoy wine tasting pairings from and handcrafted cocktails by the chief himself

🥐In addition , Chef Nicko will be opening early to offer “Panaderya,” a fusion of Filipino pastries and pandesal, as well as collaborating with to bring Filipino-inspired doughnuts to the menu.

👀Stay tuned for more information on the opening times and the full menu release. This takeover dining experience is definitely one to watch out for.

Last Thursday we hosted the first NO FORKS GIVEN SUPPERCLUB series.
I can’t be any more pleased to see how much people enjoy embracing the culture of eating with your hands, and trying Filipino food.

We are so excited to be announcing that we are collaborating with

Join us for a Kamayan feast every Thursday in June for a unique Filipino dining experience. The Filipino communal feast features a spread of delicious dishes laid out over banana leaves, meant to be enjoyed with your hands.

This exclusive event is limited to 30 guests each Thursday, creating a cozy and communal atmosphere for you to connect with like-minded individuals over Filipino cuisine. For £40 per head, you will enjoy a full menu of traditional Filipino dishes, including grilled liempo, pata, bangus, and the spectacular pit-roasted pig known as LECHON.

A bittersweet end

Our amazing journey as the dijonboys is unfortunately coming to an end. It is with a lot of sadness but excitement for the next chapter we will be completely stopping all operations from October 16th.

We want to keep this short and sweet and just say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us a long the way. We’ve made the most amazing memories and met a lot of great people who have inspired us and made our journey extra special. We would like to give a massive shout out to James Will & Jacob and Dariush and the whole team you have no idea how much we appreciate everything you’ve done for us!

I’m sure we will be back but for now farewell ❤️

Next month we are hosting our first ever takeover in Leeds docks!

Expect what we do best! seasonal small plates with influences from all around the world, natural wines exclusively from and crafted cocktails to pair with the dishes.

We will be hosting the event on Thursday 5th October and serving an a la carte style small plates menu from 5-9:30pm

DB Summer Series 3 at Boot and Rally.

Let’s talk about the db “McRib Burger.” The McRib burger has been a staple and a favourite throughout our pop up series during summer. The process of making this burger is slow braising the pork ribs for 6hours with a stock of Asian aromatics and chef Nicko’s favourite condiment soy sauce; once cooked the bones are carefully removed and it is then pressed over night. To finish It we grill it over charcoal and generously glaze with our house gochujang sauce. It is then placed on a toasted brioche bun with kewpie Mayo and pickles.

For those who don’t know a Kamayan feast also known as a boodle fight is a Filipino tradition where the table is covered with banana leaf and all types of meats and seafood are pilled up with rice and noodles and enjoyed in a communal way where everyone uses their hands to eat.

This was a crazy experience for us to prepare and set up as we had never hosted an event like this before. It was a rush to set the tables in time, trying to keep the food warm as possible, but we managed to pull it off and the tables looked so beautiful from all the different colours spread across it.

We would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came down and supported and the feedback we received was amazing so thank you very much!

We’re honoured to be hosting an event at such an amazing venue in Leeds city centre on Tuesday 25th July

As you know pushing Filipino food in Leeds and the UK! Is a massive thing for us and to be able to collaborate with such a well established brand in Leeds makes it all the more worth it.

A couple weeks back we had the massive of honour of having with us in the kitchen.

Diego is a friend and DJ of the bar and was born in Columbia. One late night we got chatting and could instantly tell how passionate Diego was about food especially his native Colombian cuisine. One thing led to another and we agreed to get him in the kitchen for one of our taco and tequila nights

It was amazing watching Diego in the kitchen. He showed us so many things we didn’t know about real South American cooking from ingredients all the way to simple techniques. I think everyone who ate can vouch his duck carnitas were amazing and I also couldn’t stop eating his pineapple salsa (I need to steal that recipe still)

Anyway it was a massive honour having you Diego thanks for sharing your skills and we definitely would like to have you back!

Finally in celebration of Cinco de Mayo on May 5th we’re running a full South American inspired menu all this bank holiday weekend so if you missed out on last times tacos make sure you swing by this week to get your fix!

AIDA is our Filipino-fusion fine dining experience curated by our executive chef who was of course born in the Philippines.

Also for those who don’t know we have just recently come back from a month long trip away in The Philippines where we spent a lot of time learning about Nicko’s culture and the food he grew up eating and we can’t wait to share all this with you through our AIDA events.

This event will consist of a 7 course tasting menu, each course inspired by a part of our trip and is priced at £50 per person
