Good Morning Garforthians, just a quick check in making sure we're all good, if you've not been in the store for a little while you won't have seen the amazing changes we've made, our children's section has been extended in celebration of the school holidays so we have a huge selection of boardgames, jigsaws and some absolutely beautiful books all at way, way less than the original selling price. We have piles of children's clothes ready to go at prices cheap enough for you not to get annoyed when the little darlings cover them in paint, or mud or something far worse!
Come meet our lovely team and say hi, might pop kettle on if you're lucky! Feel free to bring cake!

Good evening Garforthites, It would appear the sun has decided to play a role in the next few weeks weather, so this is the perfect time to tell you about all the beautiful summer clothes we have instore right now. We all know the summer is probably only going to last a matter of days so why pay new expensive price tags when you can strut through the town centre looking like you're on a Caribbean cruise for a fraction of the price! We gave shirts, shorts, shoes, dresses, swishy pants floaty skirts and even massive hats if that's your thing! Imagine sitting outside Spoons drinking a cheap pint, and eating a gammon steak and a dippy egg wearing designer gear that no-one knows cost less than an outfit in Tesco!
Also if you've put a bit of timber on over the longest winter ever we'd be delighted to accept your clothes that no longer fit around your midriff 😉😁

Dear Garforthians (?)
Here at the Age UK store on Main street we love having a giggle whilst we raise money to support our charity. We love that we can sing and dance whilst offering great customer service and we can tell bad jokes whilst sorting donations and filling the shop floor, we love that we can offer retail based training and experience to some of
our volunteers and behind the scenes job role type learning to others, nothing looks better on a job application than experience, and in exchange for a few hours a week you can join our lovely little team, grab a coffee and a smile (and a biscuit if Andy hasn't munched them all)
But seriously our shop wouldn't work without our volunteers, they are the heart of our store and the reason for our success.
If you are 18 or over and have a few hours a week to spare we would love to meet you, a sense of humour is a bonus but we aren't fussy we will welcome the grumpy ones too.
We are inclusive and friendly. So bob into the store for a chat if you fancy a bit of a natter, we'd love to meet you!

Morning people of Garforth (Garforthians?) Hope you are all enjoying the break in the weather, just a quick plea for help. we are desperately in need of handbags and bric a brac. Our lovely customers appear to like these products the most so they have depleted our stock this week and donations are dropping too!
If you are having a sort out please bare us in mind when you want to donate your goods.

We also would love some new volunteers, we are a small friendly team and we really like meeting new people, we aim to have fun whilst raising money for our charity so if you fancy a giggle for a good cause come see us. :)

Someone asked today if we take books! We are ALWAYS short of books at Age uk Garforth, if you have shelf upon shelf of books that you've read we would be extremely grateful for them. Recycle your old books with us, we love them!

Education shouldn't be expensive. We have a large range of study guides and revision materials instore now at super super low prices plus you could pick up a little something so you look good whilst smashing those summer exams!

Morning peoples of Garfoth, if you have a pile of handbags that never get used I have a super secret tip of the week for you....but don't tell anyone its definitely a trade secret....
If you donate them to the Age UK, Garforth store you will definitely (probably) get through the pearly gates of Heaven.
Not only will you receive a warm smile and my gratitude you will also be helping to provide support for the many elderly people that rely upon our services,, you will be helping to provide counselling to those people who have lost loved ones and you may just be the extra £1 needed that helps give someone somebody to speak to that can help.
I mean, you would also be helping me reach my store targets and I wouldn't get fired but hey that's beside the point 😁😁😉😉
In all honesty I'm down to my last few bags and my shelves look crap!! But your donations help us to provide an invaluable service so I do like to receive them.
