The children loved experimenting with plastic knives and learning how to layer their paintings today to add depth and texture in our Guided Canvas Art workshop.

Plans are already forming for September too and will most likely include a Mamma Mia night! 🇬🇷🤩

The children’s events over the summer are being set up on Eventbrite and Facebook as events as soon as possible. We wanted to get leaflets out at school today and Thursday as these are our last sessions before summer but booking isn’t quite ready sorry.

There will be 3 slime workshops on each date:

12.30-1.30
2.00-3.00
3.30-4.30

The guided workshops will be 1pm-3pm

And the drop in sessions will run from 1pm until 3.30pm

We can also confirm our events for adults and children for the rest of July and August. We’re busy getting them uploaded onto Eventbrite so you can reserve your places but here’s what’s to come…

We had an amazing night last night at our first Paint & Prosecco event at The Tavern (first in over a year for us and first in our lovely new venue). Some amazing creations even from the people declaring themselves not to be good at art!

A massive thank you to everyone for coming - so lovely to see everyone enjoy themselves, meet new people and just relax and have fun 🎨🥂

I had a very exciting meeting this morning (a chat with a cuppa) with a lovely lady (who may be a familiar face to a lot of you) about Artful Life Events and what’s to come.

I’m delighted to welcome Becca Batchelor of Mouse and Snail on board.

I love Becca’s enthusiasm about what’s to come and having Becca on board means we can bring these amazing events to you even sooner 🎨🥂

We’re very excited to announce our rebrand and revamp bringing you more exciting, uplifting and freedom inspiring events for adults and children.

More information to come as we get everything set up but we’ll take you on the journey with us.

Our school clubs are still so fantastically popular (thank you 🙏🏼) that they will remain a core part of what we have to offer and they’ll continue to run as normal.

First up is our ‘slightly’ new name and logo. We are now ‘Artful Life Events’ as the name encompasses more of what we’re about and what we aspire to become as we grow even more.

Our logo may be monotone but our events certainly aren’t. The events themselves infusing the colour and vibrancy in what we do.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support over the last 7 years. It’s times like this I sit back and feel proud of what I’ve achieved instead of taking it for granted on a day to day basis but I couldn’t have done it without our amazing customers; children, parents, grandparents, schools and venues - thank you 🤗

This year for Horsforth’s Walk of Art we’ll be at The Tavern - venue 37 on the map.

Come and join me and have a go at painting using the same tools I use. We have aprons for the kids and a fabulous bar to quench your thirst or grab some lunch - everyone’s welcome to have a go 🎨

Alongside me will be Grandma’s Knitting, my lovely mum, with her (Horsforth famous) knitted toys.

We currently have an opening for an Artful Kids Club Assistant at Rawdon St. Peter's Primary School to start after half term.

Experience not necessary but punctuality, reliability, a positive outlook and good work ethic is key.

Hours are Tuesdays (term time only) 3.30pm-5pm.

An enhanced DBS check, Safe Guarding and Prevent Duty training is essential, these can be arranged if you don't currently have them in place.

Would suit a parent at the school or student looking to work with children in the future.

Potential to run or assist with at an additional school club for the right candidate.

Includes free place(s) for your own children if they already attend the school.

We had another lovely workshop at My Place Yorkshire yesterday, making sure language barriers didn’t affect the benefits to be gained.

Starting with how we show up in the world now, how others see us and how we feel in ourselves we then opened the doors to how different those things would be if we allow ourselves to be our best selves.
