Classically, I've been meaning to post this for ages, but I'm excited to share with you some very special pieces. You might remember a while ago I shared a one of a kind real meteorite engagement ring, made with a little piece of the universe that fell from the sky to bring us it's special energy ☄️🌌

Well i had the absolute pleasure of crafting custom wedding rings for this couple as well. It was the first time I've made the full set including both engagement and wedding jewellery, and it couldn't have been for a more lovely couple.

We went for an elegant v shaped band to pair with the engagement ring and a simple classic look for the other.

Sometimes simplicity is the ultimate sophistication don't you think?

Well helloooo. Surprise surprise I've not been doing much jewellery lately but I thought I'd do a bit of a photo dump of what I've been up to the last month as its been a busy one, featuring a Haunted Wood, Bamford Edge, a Sikh wedding, Harewood Gardens, a gig at Brudenell and seeing family in London 😄🍃💃🌿💛🎵

Well, it's been another minute. Another two months since my last post 😳 I've been at full capacity with life stuff again, I know I've been sounding like a broken record but I've been ill pretty much constantly since the end of Feb, and ngl it's been getting me down a bit. It's been a bit of a slog, though we have managed to enjoy lots of happy moments and memories over the last few months. Highlights include a weekend away with family, presenting my work at the European Geophysical Union in Vienna, and we had a rare child-free date day we spent seeing Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away live on stage in the West end!

I have managed to finish a ring for my partner that had been left sitting half made on my bench, and I finished up a big commission too that I'll share properly soon. I haven't had time at the bench to make anything else though, and I have a longstanding backlog of admin to do, adding stuff to my shop, etc, that I keep telling myself I will get to at some point 😅

But anyways, all that being said, I'm always open for commissions and bespoke work so if you're after a piece of custom, unique, handcrafted jewellery just pop me a message and we can create something special just for you! 💕

Well, that went well didn't it.. I've only done three prompts of this year, and there's only a couple of prompts left now. Though I guess I've done three more posts than I probably would have done otherwise 🤣

Well anyway yesterday's prompt was a moment of calm. I haven't had many of those lately as life has been a bit of a whirlwind and my heads been a bit all over the place, but today is the first day of a week and a half off work waheey

Hopefully going to have a few more moments of calm coming up, some time to rest and reset, sort the house out a bit, and we'll be going away for a few days with the family too.

So, three things - First, it seems as though I'm averaging about one post a month on here at the moment 😅 I realise I've been continually awol as of late so sorry as always but life has been taking all of my spoons at the moment!!

Second, it turns out this is the only picture of me I have on my phone that's not with the little munchkin or that's unusable for various reasons. So this is the one you get 🤣

Third, it's the first day of 🙌 I used to be really good at this but I can't even remember if I did it last year to be honest! I want to try and get stuck in to get myself back into the groove of posting but let's see how that goes lmao. We shall see anyways.

Hi. I'm Tasha and I'm the awkward lemon behind Omnicomet. I'm based in Leeds and I hand craft one of a kind and limited edition jewellery from silver and semi precious gemstones that's inspired by our beautiful planet and beyond.

My day job is as a scientist researching the upper atmosphere which is why space themes have always crept into my jewellery, but I also love nothing more than getting out exploring in nature. I guess as an extension of this I'm very passionate about sustainability and so you can rest assured my packaging is reusable, recyclable and plastic free 🌿🌎

🌬️ H I B E R N A T I O N 🌬️

I realised it's been over a month since I shared anything on here!! I've been in full on winter hibernation mode, and we've had various lurgies over the last few weeks too.

I have been working on a few projects behind the scenes, like this forest pendant which was a recent commission 🌲☺️ but I haven't had the headspace to do much more than that. I haven't managed to get myself into gear to add the now quite big backlog of pieces to my Etsy shop 🙈 though I will definitely come around to it at some point!

I always find winter hard, my body just slows right down and I retreat into slowness and stillness, but navigating winter with a toddler has been a challenge for sure. Go go go all the time. But I'm trying to also listen to my body and it's needs, and not force myself on through burnout.

One exciting thing I AM doing this Sunday is the Valentines art market in Meanwood. Leeds folk come down and say hi!! The last market was a blast and there was so many lovely stalls, tasty treats and many lovely people and doggos. Wheeeeeey

Happy new year lovely people 🧡 is it too late to still be saying that? 🤔

I don't know about you but I've had a slow start to the year, I feel like I'm taking a while to wind back up into the normal rhythms of life. But it's still the depths of winter right? Is this really the time to be steaming off into resolutions and action? Maybe for some, but not for me anyways 😅 I'm just about managing to get my head back into the day job and get back on top of other life bits after the holidays. We went out on a beautiful sunny walk today which felt really rejuvenating ☀️

I do have a few projects on the go, and still have a heap of pieces to photograph and list in the shop (I'll get to that at some point haha).

But anyways I thought I'd share a pic of this REAL meteorite engagement ring, a one of a kind piece for a one of a kind couple. I made it back in August but held off on sharing until I'd heard it had found its forever finger! But I'm thrilled to say it now has, and she said yes! Isn't it special? 🤩☄️🌌

Aaaaand that's a wrap for another year! The shop is now closed for the holidays and we've gone down south to spend some time with family and friends until the new year.

This year has been a bit of a wild ride, but despite thinking I hadn't done as much as I wanted with the jewellery this year, looking back I'm pleased with what I achieved with the precious little time I've had being a new mum! I've developed my smithing skills, made some pieces I'm proud of, dipped my toes into the craft market scene and managed to do it through the challenges we've had along the way 💕

I sold the Ephemeral Pendant from the new Root to Rise Collection at the Skipton market yesterday, before I had a chance to share it on here, so I thought I would share it anyways as this stone is an absolute corker!

The colours in the stone reminded me of the changing colours of fall, the seasons marching onwards, and the foliage changing around us, going back to the earth to hibernate for winter. So I named this pendant a little known word, that means transient, fleeting, temporary.

A reminder that this life is short and we should make the most of the seasons as they come. To enjoy the bounties and busyness of summer, but equally to slow down for the slow and restful nurturing of winter. Be present and flow with the winds of change, that pull of our bodies for what they need in each moment 🍃🍂💚🧡💛🍃🍂

Some of you may have seen my post yesterday about the first new collection I've just released. Well, the second exciting new collection is the Aurora collection. 5 deliciously dainty pendants made with stunning Australian opal.

Making these was my first time properly working with opals, and I must admit I did 💩 my pants a little while setting them! Opals are super delicate and very easy to break. But thankfully the beautiful pearlescent glows all remain in tact hehe. Each unique and full of a world of colours 🌈

📢📢 Finally got around to announcing the markets I'll be doing this Christmas! I've been meaning to do a post for ages but surprise surprise I've been ill again 🤪 I think this is just my new state of being for a while...

Anyways!! I'm very excited to say I'll be kicking off with the makers market at next Sunday 11-5pm 🎄

Then I'll be in Leeds the following weekend - at in Kirkstall on the Saturday 10-4.30pm and in Meanwood on the Sunday 11-4pm

I've never done any Christmas markets before so I'm dead excited to get out and meet people and start feeling the festive cheer. Any Yorkshire folk come down and say hi! I'd love to see you 😁🥰

So once again I've been awol from here, and once again it's because I've been ill, but this one has been a bad one. I've been unwell since the day of the market back at the start of the month (can't believe it was that long ago now). It started as your standard virus but turned into a chest infection and then pneumonia. I've also pulled a muscle really badly in my chest from coughing and have been in agony from the pain on top of the infection.

Not managed to get much rest either still having to look after the little munchkin, who wasn't feeling well at the weekend either and of course only wanted mummy. has been doing an amazing job looking after us though, despite the last few weeks being tough for him too.

I wanted to do a snuggly autumnal photo with this update, with cutesy vibes and all that. I also wanted to spend some time while ill at least posting on here or doing other 'easy' planning bits for Omnicomet, but the reality is I've barely been able to keep up with life essentials and in those moments I've had to myself I haven't been able to do anything other than sleep, stare into space or watch trash on TV. So you've got a photo of my feet and my cuppa that kindly made me this morning. And that's it I guess. Hope you're all having a better September than me 🙏💛

I sold a few made to order rings at the market on the weekend. One, an amber stacker ring with a shiny flat-hammered band, the other a dainty Bobble stacker ring.

I don't have any photos of the exact rings sold, but they will be made especially for the wearer 💕 how special is that? A piece of jewellery created especially for you.

Oh I realised I forgot to share these custom made key chains! Each was hand crafted using traditional silver smiting techniques, using recycled sterling silver and brass.

They were made for a wedding gift for two very special souls whose hearts roam free in the ocean. They're both sailors so this sunset ocean scene fit the couple perfectly with their initials and wedding date to commemorate their special day ✨🌊

Here's a cheeky snap of a recent commission, some custom one or a kind spiral stud earrings for a lovely lady after something to match a pendant to wear at a wedding she's attending. I didn't have time to get any decent snaps before I sent it off so here it is on my bench pin 🙃⚒️

It's been a bit mad here, we're off on holiday for 3 weeks tomorrow, and I'm super excited! Very grateful to be able to have a bit of quality time with the family before I go back to the day job in July. We're headed off exploring in the camper van, so not entirely sure where we'll end up, though likely to be headed up the east coast towards Northumberland/Scotland (if we get that far with the little one 🤪). It's going to be an interesting experience with a 9 month old that's for sure... Here for the ride though 😁🙏

I've gone and done it again 🙈 how has it been two months since my last post?! Time just moves at a different rate when you have a little one. Being a parent has been a continuous rollercoaster, and it hasn't slowed down as he's got older either, if anything it feels like it's more crazy 🤪

So I realise I said I was planning to get back to posting more regularly but then haven't actually posted in nearly three weeks 🤔 Me and the little dude have been battling more lurgies, it's just constant!! I'm so over being ill all the time, but I guess this is just life now 😅

I was intending to post about this little garnet cutie since garnet is the birthstone for January, but we're in February now.... 🙃 Though I do have some gorgeous rose cut amethysts in stock which is the birthstone for February 😉 These made to order stackers aren't listed on my Etsy at the moment but if anyone fancies a little amethyst stacker then hit me up!

Anyway I have actually managed to sneak another afternoon in the studio, and have some exciting new pieces half made on my bench. When will I be finishing them? Who knows! It's blue Monday apparently, the most depressing day of the year. Personally I hate winter, I always struggle with the lack of light particularly and I've had a history of clinical depression. However this year although I'm struggling with severe lack of sleep and seemingly constant illness brought home by our little kn****ad, I'm feeling so blessed to have him in our lives. Any parents have any tips for getting through the 4 month sleep regression?? Please send them my way!! 😴

Right, new year new me! Well, not really, but it's funny how the turning of the year makes us think about things and evaluate our lives. And while mine has definitely been shaken up these last few months, I do want to try and get back to posting again and being properly present on here rather than just having an aimless scroll every now and again.

Also because of the amount of random baby stuff that's now worming into my feed I've decided to reawaken my personal profile so I can attempt to avoid this profiles focus getting sidelined. So for anyone I know personally please feel free to add me if you haven't already 👋

I still haven't made it back to the bench since making that first piece but the urge is there, even though I don't necessarily have the time or headspace at the moment. It might take me a while to find the balance between running this lil business of mine and being a mama so please bear with me 🙏 Huge respect to any parents balancing the two cause my brain is a bit boggled by it at the moment 😅

Well hello there, its been a while. As some of you will know from my posts through the year and me were expecting our first bubba mid August, and I'm incredibly pleased to announce that he has made it Earth side to join us 🌎🌌💕

We've not had the journey we expected, but through a traumatic birth, two hospital transfers, a stint on intensive care and two other wards, and navigating my own recovery, we've managed to pull through stronger together.

We're still processing everything that's happened and I can't even begin to put into words the rollercoaster of pain and emotions we've been through, but we're beyond grateful to all the incredible people from the Yorkshire hospitals who helped us get here and made it possible for us to make it home together.

I don't know when I'll get back to my regular posting but for now we'll be adjusting to our new lives as a family and cocooning ourselves in our baby bubble 🧡 See you soon folks 👋
