This is the second piece we’ve restored for this family. It was driven over from Italy in the back of an estate car and dropped to my house early morning before our customer even went home. A family member in Italy was an antique furniture collector and this was used on an ocean liner before it came to the family. All the frame was restored and treated for woodworm , seat was traditionally resprung and then upholstered in a rich bottle green velvet.

A lovely ParkerKnoll wing chair in for an upgrade. Our customer has been renovating her lounge and after doing her suite a few months ago she found the perfect fabric for wing chair. We can work in your own fabrics too. We found the foam in the seat cushion had also gone when we stripped so a quick call to get the go ahead to replace that too.

We had four chairs which we love but were tired and in need of some tlc. We are extremely happy with the result. The workmanship is first class. 5 star service from beginning to end. Karen offered some great advice, and had a wide variety of materials for me to choose from. The quality of the workmanship is excellent. I am delighted with my covered chair which used to be my Granny’s, so was looking a little tired and definitely needed some TLC! This is third time I’ve used Karen and Tom to bring some aging furniture back to life; this time it was French polishing my dining table and chairs, as well as recovering the seat pads. A perfect grey/green linen look for this customers sofa in its new home. It was her mothers and a much treasured piece. We resized the cushions as these were too big.

General wear and tear (plus a dog!) on the table top of this dining suite. New boards for the dining chairs as these had all split. The fabric matched the wallpaper in the lounge area to link together with another pop of colour.

This was a heavy brute! Fully sprung seat, back and arms contributed to the weight of this one. It had been in storage for some 20years and was finally getting out! A pleasure to restore this one.

A vintage find for our customer a few years ago but the old vinyl eventually split. We chose a close match in colour and texture.

What a transformation from safe red chenille to beautiful wool plaid from Moons in Guiseley. We had fun matching that pattern!

I have an old Parker-Knoll chair manufactured just after the war. It is made of metal and I think that only 100 or so were made. I stripped the metal framework down and had it acid bath cleaned, powder blasted and then powder coated. Once rebuilt, Abbey Upholstery did a magnificent job with the fabric furnishings. Very pleased.
