This week, the Hopkins team successfully installed a state-of-the-art 5-pan island range and canopy with a fresh air system. Being actively involved in this project has been incredibly fulfilling and I am proud to have played a role in the team’s success. We are seeking individuals who possess outstanding customer relations skills and have a proven track record in Field Service within the fish and chip shop industry or commercial catering appliances.

At Hopkins, each day brings new and diverse experiences. From installations to equipment maintenance, working in different shops presents unique obstacles. Therefore, it is vital that you can adapt to various environments, as you will be actively involved in tasks such as ducting installation, Range positioning and commissioning, as well as providing various service work on our equipment. Regardless of whether you are working indoors or outdoors, rain or shine, you will be joining a team of dedicated Service Engineers who offer round-the-clock support to our esteemed customers throughout the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out service work on frying ranges across the UK as scheduled by our office service team, as well as deliver and install new ranges.
• Our engineers are expected to maintain a high standard of work. Effective communication and service levels towards our clients, along with ensuring equipment is well-maintained and ready for operation, are crucial for our success.
• You will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive van stock levels in coordination with our in-house service department.
• Build and maintain excellent customer relations, ensuring that all tasks on job sheets are completed on-site and that the customer is informed before leaving the site.
• Work smart and safely, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

Location: across the UK

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Possess industry-relevant electrical qualifications and commercial COMCAT – training can be provided if necessary).
• Able to focus on-site and confidently resolve any job-related issues.
• Skilled in holding conversations and communicating effectively with Hopkins' customer base.
• Flexible with working hours and location, as changes may occur due to callouts and priorities.
• Physically fit, as equipment cannot be brought into the building itself. You will be required to lift equipment and assist in positioning it, as well as handle ducting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft software would be advantageous, as reporting on each job carried out is required.
• Must possess a valid UK driver's license (maximum of 3 points) to fulfill your duties.
