The Yorkshire Lock and Door Man

I have had to secure a few All Weather Pitches recently. This set up enables the user to add the gates to their existing master key system. With solutions for every type of gate, scenario or budget I can find a solution to suit your needs.

Stanningley ARLFC and Siddal RLFC conducted a minutes silence before this weekends game, in memory of Robbie Burrow. Followed up by two great games of rugby

Its going to be a real treat seeing these in action at The Rhinos Challenge in a couple of weeks. The boys and girls have been really impressive this season and keep going from strength to strength.

Here's a recent installation of some Banham locks. Very popular locks in London and the surrounding areas, not seen as often up here in Yorkshire. Designed, manufactured and sold in Britain these are extremely secure and reliable locks. In the photos are examples of the Banham L2000 Night Latch and the M2003 Dead Lock, I think the internal thumb turn on the dead locks is a great idea, though the M2002 is the same lock but is key operated on the inside. Both locks are BS: 3621, so are Police and insurance approved, available in a range of finishes.

A good start to the season for Leeds Rhinos and Stanningley U9's. The Yorkshire Lock and Door Man Ltd is proud to be associated with both clubs. Looking forward to the rest of the season as both teams grow. We do more than just locks and security!

Recently installed these 'SashStop' sash jammers. These are the strongest and most versatile sash jammers on the market. Available as just a sash jammer or as an externally key operated sash jammer. Both variants bolt through the entire door frame making them very strong and resistant to attack. With the external key option you can lock your sash jammers even when outside the property. Ideal for doors where the Multi-Point Locking System is maybe a bit dated or not very robust.

This is a recently fitted concealed door closer. There are different grades, depending on door size and weight, doors use and location. Suitable for fire doors and both commercial and domestic scenarios. This is a domestic property where the use of a surface mounted closer would not be in keeping.

Not a job I get asked to do very often, here is some drawer locks retro fitted to a chest of drawers in a contemporary office space. Fitted new and additional locks to a wide variety of thing now from drawers and doors, to wheelie bins and telephone boxes.

I don't get to fit many key safes as they are a fairly simple DIY task. For those of you that don't have the tools, know how or confidence I can fit any key safe that meets your requirements. Recently had a call to gain entry and repair a few medicine trolleys at a care home. Key snapped and stuck in the lock of one trolley, the other trolley with a damaged key that no longer worked. Locks removed and new keys made to pattern on site.

Students are one of the highest at-risk groups of crime in the country, often targeted for high value laptops, TVs, and entertainment equipment which are frequently left in plain view and unsecured against intruders. It’s important, therefore, that students are aware of how to keep themselves and their possessions safe.

If you're staying in private rented accommodation this year here are some simple measures to help keep you and your things safe and secure:

👍It is important for students and parents to question what locking systems are in place, when they were last replaced and how the copying of keys is controlled.
👍Ensure good quality locks are on both the main door to the property and the bedroom door. Inspect doors and windows to make sure appropriate locks are fitted, are in good condition and meet insurance requirements. You can ask a vetted MLA locksmith for advice if they are unsure.
👍Walk around the exterior of the property making sure to note any areas of potential weakness and discuss any issues with a landlord
👍Be sure to keep valuable items out of sight, away from doors or windows, and remember to lock rooms whenever they’re not in.
