We're pleased to announce you will now be able to stream Rawdon's cricket matches live!

A huge thank you goes to those involved in getting RCC's live streaming finally up and running. It's been a difficult task to get right, giving you the best quality video footage possible. The scorebox being the best viewing position of the wicket, but its distance from the clubhouse where the wifi router is, has made it a tricky undertaking. Trenches have been dug, tech has been bought and configured, and we're now live!

It has been tested and you will be able to watch the cricket live, this weekend!

Weekend Roundup

3/3 for the senior teams.

At Tong Park Esholt, Smithy won the toss and led the way bowling tightly on a spinning wicket. A late partnership from TPE saw us be set 213 to win. Ducky got us off to a decent start with a quick 40 but it was Smithy and Moose and who put on 137 to get us the win and leave TPE with 20pts.

The 2nd XI batted first and the experience of Smith and Tino was key as they added 110 together. In a tight chase, it was Giller again who stepped up with a tight spell before Yeadon wrapped things up at the end. A big win for the 2nds and 18pts gained.

On Sunday, the 3rds bowled first against Steeton. On his return, Griggsy - 3rd team veteran - bowled with his usual accuracy taking 3/6 in 7 overs before debutant Simpson took 2 in 3 balls to end the innings. Cullen and Jacques finishing not out to see us home with 19pts.

Great wins for all 3 teams and well done to all involved.

Rawdon’s overseas player Tom Wrigglesworth will join current senior players Andrew Duckworth, Jake Hodges and Henry Scanlan this summer on 7 cricket, rounders and football camps starting next week at Calverley St Wilfrids Cricket Club for the Spring Bank Half Term.

Summer camps will be at Rawdon CC, Calverley, Horsforth Vale, Farsley, Morley and Benton Park!

These camps are always enjoyable while learning the technical and tactical sides of the sports.

The camps allow children to decide on the day which sports they would like to take part in 🏏⚽️

Weekend Roundup

The 1st team won at NLCC in a tight game. Wickets were shared with Rawdon eventually requiring 164 to win. After a tricky start, it was Moose and Smithy who played freely to see us home and leave The Homestead with 19pts.

The 2nd XI lost by 58 runs with only Campleman truly getting going. 6pts gained for The Seconds.

In the Waddilove Cup, The Ones were well beaten by Bolton Villas.

The Twos progressed to next round of the Birtwhistle as Bolton Villas conceded the game.

Weekend Roundup

After a disappointing start last weekend, both The Ones and Twos bounced back with a win.

With 288 needed for the win, Wriggy dragged The Ones over the line with a remarkable 137*. Supported by Ports, Nicho and AD, Tom struck it cleanly playing a truly memorable knock on his home debut. A first win and 18 points for The Ones.

At Kirkstall, The Twos made 198 largely down to Campleman who made a crucial 81*. In reply, wickets were shared with Digga bowling tightly and leading the way. The Twos came away with 19 points.

Well done to all involved.

Teams are in for the weekend as both teams look to open their accounts for the season.

First XI host Saltaire at Larkfield Road. Andrew Duckworth makes his long awaited return to Rawdon whilst Corey Heath makes his 1st XI debut.

The twos head to Kirkstall with Mark Yeadon, Matty Campleman and Ollie Jacques making their first Saturday appearances of the season.
