Lips
📣 Do your lips suffer with asymmetry even after having lip filler? 📣 ✨ Fillers can create volume and projection throughout the lips, which is amazing as a stand alone treatment. BUT you can’t easily disguise the difference in lip tissue, its texture and colour. Filler can enhance the volume but where the lip tissue transitions, this can often leave the lips still looking unnatural if you don’t originally have symmetrical lips (lips that were already pretty great). ✨ A lip blush procedure can replace and disguise these weak areas of transitional skin, along the vermillion border, to give the illusion of better symmetry and definition. You know more about permanent makeup than your client… 2. They have chosen YOU to perform their treatment because they like YOUR style of work. 3. Communication is key, maintain a realistic outcome and explain why you have chosen the specific treatment plan. 4. Don’t oversell the results, if you over glamourise and give it the hard sell, more often than not the client will feel abit short changed. But DO remain positive about how good the results can be 🙌🏻 5. Get excited, your client will relax with your enthusiasm and you will notice they relax more when they feel YOU are in charge. 📣 WHERE TO DO YOUR PMU BEGINNERS TRAINING 📣 ✨ 3 ESSENTIAL TIPS ✨ 1. “Enquire how long the specific trainer has been doing permanent makeup.” Because the Permanent Makeup industry is not officially regulated, there are no governing bodies that require specific qualifying criteria for you to become a trainer and set up an academy. So it stands that as long as you are qualified you can start teaching 😳…. I have waited 20 years and performed literally thousands of treatments, become international recognised before starting to teach PMU fundamentals. YOU CANNOT PUT A PRICE ON EXPERIENCE. 2. “Do you LOVE the individual trainers style of work?” You will be learning that specific trainers style and methods, you can’t see a permanent makeup course as “one size fits all”… so ask yourself, “is their work the type that you aspire to deliver yourself?? Take time to look at the artistry, it’s not just about the health and safety aspects of a course, it’s art….. 3. “Don’t be purely price driven.” Of course we all have to consider cost, I’m no stranger to budgeting. BUT, I say this from experience, more often than not if you choose a course based upon an attractive price, you need to ask why that course is the cheapest….. How many hands on practical days will you have? Is there pre study? How many students will attend one class? How much attention will I receive from the tutor? Any trainer has to factor in how much time they are going to be investing into you…. And what their time is worth.
