So it has to be said that Rebecca is one of the people who spurred me on to organise beginner training 😁. She has asked me multiple times to train her over the last couple of years and I kept saying “Soon…. Not just yet….. nearly there!”

I only wanted to take on this huge responsibility when everything was totally ready, well organised and I was personally ready to give the time and dedication required to mentor future artists as they should be. Not just deliver a course and see them on their way.

🌟 We all have the same number of hours in the day, days of the week, month and year…. What you earn in your current career path might be capped based upon contracts, relying on internal promotions and how many hours you can provide a service in one day….

🌟 Imagine the lifestyle you really would like to lead, is the path you’re currently on going to reward you financially so you can achieve that lifestyle and also give you the flexibility you need or want?

🌟 When contemplating training in permanent makeup this is a hugely important factor you have to consider. It’s not spoken about too loudly but this is the reality I have seen time and time again. 🌟 If you train with high end providers, yes there will be a higher price tag, (much like a designer label provides a higher quality garment than a high street alternative), but you will bypass the wasting of time, frustration, confusion and money reinvesting in more training so soon after your first qualifying course. IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. From my personal experience YOU CANNOT afford not to invest correctly from the outset. And let’s not forget the clients that may be potentially advertising substandard work if you’re not taught how to produce work to the highest quality, how far might that set you back?

I have created Fundamental Permanent Makeup module courses, to bypass these pitfalls. I’ve been able to do this because I’ve been privileged enough to be a pioneer and mentor in the industry for over 20 years.

📣 I’ve yet to meet a single client with naturally symmetrical eyebrows…. It doesn’t exist folks….

✨ My client had a decent amount of brow hair and the shape wasn’t too bad in all fairness, but as always, one started a little further back, and was lower. So abit of balancing was required here whilst preserving as much of the natural brow hair as possible to achieve better symmetry.

✨ This is a work in progress, it’s common when healed that more pigment saturation and possibly alittle powdering might benefit this to add more depth.

✨ When the light hits the skin where there is no natural hair, it tends to reflect back and appear lighter, regardless of the depth of colour. BUT as you can see, a major improvement was achieved 👌🏻

You will agree that the immediately after image is absolutely stunning! BUT this is NOT the colour she requested during the consultation.

Hannah really wanted a soft pink / n**e finish, and as you can see from the healed picture she provided, that is exactly the look she is now enjoying! 👌🏻

It’s important to point out though, that not all pigment lines behave the same during the healing process. Some brands of pigment have a heavier more opaque quality and CAN heal stronger. It also depends on the specific application method used.

During the consultation phase we discussed the type of enhancement and finish she desired and so I chose the Hanami pigment line because this line heals quite gentle, less opaque but has enough stability to leave a good level of natural coverage. Hannah’s lips were also perfectly prepared and suitable for this look (hydrated, no dry skin or damage from sun or cold sores).

Permanent Makeup is not an off the shelf treatment or product, every element should be tailored to the individual client. From pigment line, colour choice, machine choice, needles and application techniques.

✨ I recommended the softer colour choices for this beautiful client as her skin and eyes were so fair. A full black winged liner in my opinion would have looked too strong, harsh and cold…

✨The darkest of hair colours
✨Red / Ruddy skin tone
✨Fair light eyes
✨ Oily skin, but dry also, open pores and needle resistant….

So why is this a tricky combo??

You might look at this client and think she needs a dark brow to match her hair colour… but no, the most natural result is when the brow colour is a couple of shades lighter than the dark hair. Matching this hair colour would result in a very severe look (not natural).

Also, if you were to choose a dark brown pigment, then you would find that it would pull extremely cool (grey / blue) during healing. This is alot to do with the clients skin tone. A red / ruddy skin will ALWAYS pull a pigment cooler when healed. It’s an extremely cool skin tone, (red skin does NOT equal warmth). It’s important to remember that skin is not completely translucent, it will ALWAYS have an effect on the healed colour and in this case it will undoubtedly pull any colour cool. It’s also very important to tattoo extremely superficially. This is because the deeper you work on any skin type, the more cool tones will reflect back once healed. So working too deep on this skin tone is a recipe for blues and greys….

Another consideration is the skin texture, thickness and type. Think of skin texture as your canvas. Zooming in, you will see little lumps, bumps, pores, capillaries etc. Creating those fine hairstrokes that are so popular would (a) run the risk of those fine strokes looking a little distorted over uneven skin. And (b), tattooing in fine concentrated tones does tend to again pull colours a little cooler.

A powder brow, with a medium brown, working very superficially is the best plan of action when working with this tricky combination. We want neutral brown healed colours, we don’t want deep, blue tones and we don’t want delicate hairstrokes to be distorted and only last a few months due to the skins resistance….

Rather than paying the full amount of £365 on the first treatment session, you can split the cost over 2 months. On your first appointment pay £250 and then on your second session it’s the remaining balance of £115. Both sessions are absolutely essential to ensure you get the appropriate colour saturation so that the results last.

✨OPTION 2
Again rather than paying the full amount of £365 upfront, you can pay £100 monthly instalments and then on the day of your first treatment pay the balance of £65. This will obviously mean a little wait but it will be much easier to budget for and you won’t “feel the pinch”.
