Another trick-or-treating tip for families with disabled children!

For a calmer and more familiar trick-or-treat experience, family members could get dressed up and hide in different rooms.

This way, your child will still get to experience trick-or-treating but in a controlled environment.

Preparing for Adulthood Free Training Event | Mercury College are holding their last Preparing for Adulthood FREE TRAINING EVENT of the year and this time they're heading to Leeds.

SENSORY CIRCUITS ACTIVITY PACK

A sensory circuit is a form of sensory integration intervention. It involves a sequence of physical activities that are designed to alert, organise and calm the child. The sensory circuit aims to facilitate sensory processing to help children regulate and organise their senses in order to achieve the optimum level of alertness required for effective learning. The circuit should be an active, physical and fun activity that children enjoy doing. Sensory circuits can be delivered in the home as a calming strategy as well as school environment.
This visual resource activity pack makes it easy for those new to the intervention to construct a session, as well as supporting young people through a visual resource. Resource includes range of suggested activities as well as blank cards to personalise sessions further.
