We’re sorry for our radio silence, it’s been a busy old time at Crooner HQ ✨

We’re just letting you know today that unfortunately, we will not be returning tomorrow as planned due to circumstances beyond our control - we apologise profusely to anyone who was planning to come down!

We’ll be confirming our return date very soon though, so keep an eye on our socials in the next week or so for more details! 🧡🧡🧡

A little crooner update for you ✨

We at Crooner HQ have decided this year to take a summer hiatus ☀️

We won’t be gone long, don’t worry! Think of it your favourite show’s season finale, before we go off to work on next instalment 📺

We’ve got lots of plans and ideas in the works for later in the year, so we’ll be using the next few weeks to regroup, recharge, and come back with a bang at the end of summer 💪🏻

Our last Crooner for the time being will be next week (10th July), and we’ll be back on 28th August with our next instalment of our favourite city centre open mic 🧡 Keep your eyes out for more updates to come!

There is nothing to worry about. Both Sam and myself (Sammie) are busy with other work/gig commitments.

Good morning Crooners. Bookings are now available for this Wednesday’s Crooner Club Open Mic The Wardrobe Leeds. Starting at 8pm-11pm.

Each slot is around 10 mins which will allow for 2-3 songs. We welcome walk ins, but if we are fully booked we can’t always guarantee we will be able to fit you in. However with it being the summer holidays and a lot of the local music students being back home, there’s a good chance we will have space for you.

So drop us a DM or just simply come along and let your host know you’re here and ready to rock!

Since our big move to at the start of 2024, we’ve had so many more of you lovely people join us on the good ship Crooner! 🧡 So, we thought we’d take a moment to reintroduce and tell you a little about the people behind your fave city centre open mic!

❤️‍🔥 SAM (REGULAR HOST) • /

Having moved from a small countryside town in Oxfordshire almost a decade ago, Sam is regular on the Leeds music scene and has worked full time as a musician for over 7 years. She’s a songwriter, touring artist, alternative wedding singer, and since 2017, a host of Crooner Club. What began as a last minute favour to a friend turned over the years into a labour of love, and ignited a fierce passion for providing welcoming spaces for all creatives. Sam will be your host every two weeks, you’ll probably find her rushing around with a mic in one hand and a coffee the other ☕️ (📸 .photo)

💜 SAMMIE (REGULAR HOST) •

Sammie is our resident emo/goth girl with a guitar addiction, penchant for singing songs by niche bands, and a passion for all things music tech. Sammie has a musical history spanning over many years with her old pub band ‘Icarus’, and multiple open mics across the UK. She began her time at Crooner Club as a regular act, and quickly became the go-to gal for technical support and music/sound equipment! She then joined the team as an alternate host, and so every other week, she will be running the ship and providing the fun, chaotic vibes we all know and love✨


🧡 MILLY (SOUND TECH / COVER HOST) •

Milly joined the team in 2023 as our sound engineer and cover host. Cursed with a bob and wonky fringe, Milly reached for a ukulele at the age of 10, from whence came a love of music. Teenage angst fuelled a deadly knack for songwriting… after dipping her toe into the gig circuit, she moved to Leeds, joined a sweet pop choir, discovered Crooner Club, and completed the team! Jokingly dubbed the ‘Crooner Club Intern’, she can now be found commanding the sound desk each week, and is well known for cracking out some Bruce Springsteen on the house piano (📸 Sammie)

It’s time for our difficult 2nd album following the resounding success of our launch night last Wednesday at The Wardrobe Leeds

If you want to play at the next Crooner Club on Wednesday 17th January drop us a message via instagram or Facebook. Be quick though as last week the slots went within a few hours and we only have limited space for all you wonderful people.
