Afternoon Americana

Afternoon Americana is a weekly event in Leeds, West Yorkshire featuring local and touring artists playing a range of Americana and roots music in the cosy setting of Northern Guitars Cafe Bar. With cold beer, hot coffee, delicious cake and a guitar shop upstairs, it’s an ideal venue for music lovers to hang and check out high caliber live music.
Every Saturday afternoon local singer-songwriter B.W.Pike will play an afternoon of acoustic Americana, alt.country, folk and blues music and invite along guests and friends from far and wide to share the stage. You can expect everything from impromptu jams with some of Yorkshire’s best roots musicians to touring international acts stopping by to perform on their way through Leeds.

B.W.Pike is a fingerstyle acoustic guitarist, an in-demand pedal steel player and the founder of local independent record label Gin House Records. He has released 2 albums, an EP, and 2 singles to critical acclaim, being featured in The Independent, Songlines Magazine, RnR Magazine & fRoots Magazine and having performed live sessions on BBC Radio 2, BBC London and BBC Leeds. He has shared the stage with touring roots artists such as The Felice Brothers, Old Crow Medicine Show, C.W.Stoneking, Nell Bryden & many more.
