Why Getting Your Art Seen Matters
Art deserves to be seen, but exhibitions aren't always accessible. That’s why we’re inviting you to collaborate and put on an exhibition together. But why does getting your art seen really matter? Let’s dive in.
In the vast world of art, recognition is essential. Showcasing your creations to a wider audience can unlock new opportunities and connections. When your art reaches beyond geographical boundaries—whether through exhibitions, online platforms, or social media—each view opens a door for your work to be discovered and appreciated. Seeing your art displayed and recognized by others not only validates your talent and hard work but also boosts your confidence and reinforces your artistic vision.
Affordable access to showcasing art is crucial for celebrating diversity and expression. Every artist brings a unique voice and perspective, contributing to a rich tapestry of creativity. By sharing your work, you enrich the cultural landscape and celebrate the beauty of individuality.
Print It! is a not-for-profit project where your fee covers essential costs like printing, posting, project management, marketing, and admin. As a q***r, disabled organisation, we deeply value collaboration. By working together transparently, we can achieve amazing things.
While our costs may seem high, most of them go directly toward printing and shipping. Depending on the number of artists involved, our books range from £5-9 per copy to print, with shipping costs varying from £7.50 to £20 internationally. This is before considering admin time, book design, and marketing. Print It! isn’t about profits—it’s about making art accessible and collaborative. If you’re looking to get published, expand your CV, build your portfolio, and let your art travel the world affordably, apply today!
Attention all photographers!
Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out we want to see your work. Our art book is open to photographers of all levels, providing a space to showcase your talent and connect with an audience worldwide. Our Print It! Art Books have showcased artists from London to New Zealand. Exhibiting is not always accessible to everyone. From printing costs, framing, transport and exhibition room hire. It all adds up! So let us do the hard work - all we need from you is to enter.

We have a number of spaces available to suit a range of budgets, from open plan desk spaces to private lockable studios.
We will be offering rent incentives for longer contracts. This is currently being reviewed. We are also looking at expanding the number of available spaces to keep costs low for our remaining time at Aire Place Mills.
If you're considering signing for a studio for the full term - ie. until the building's closure in May 2025 - there is an added bonus: As the final occupant of the studio before the building is knocked down, you're free to do whatever you like to the space (within reason!) - Throw paint, get messy, build oddness... crack on

It’s Not You, It’s Me – 27 April
We need to collectively work on making the art world more personable, not more personal. We take so many things to heart. Every no, every rejection, every moment as it is personal- as it IS to us. So many people just give up making as the no’s just pile up so high, we cannot take the weight any longer. I am one of these people – I gave up making art for 9 years as I was all noped out. When did being creative become so much about other people? When did we as creative give others so much power over what and who we are?
How can we start unpicking why we feel so much hurt, so much imposter syndrome? Every single person I meet feels it. We need to start reclaiming the creative world as ours, we need to work more collectively to uplift, celebrate and just say no to this imposter syndrome which does not belong to any of us. As I am me, this is me – and no one can tell me any differently.
It’s not you, it’s me will be talking with curators who select work for open calls, who send out their no’s, but also feel and see it all as the artist themself. I know emailing you with ‘Sorry but this time your application was not successful’ is gonna hurt, I feel you – I have felt it.
This conversation will involve personal experiences on how selections are made, common mistakes which are made and a chance to hear just how selections are made. Often your ‘no’ has no value or reflection on how good the work is.
Afterwards we’ll break into small groups and share ideas, thoughts and get this conversation going to start working towards the changes that are well overdue!
