Our second winery visit was to Bodegas Vallemayor based in Fuenmayor within the geographical area of La Rioja Alta. A family-owned winery that has been making wines since the 19th century.

Their main aim when creating their wines is a balance between making use of traditional knowledge and modern technology that brings forth the true expression of a Rioja wine.

On our menu, you are able to enjoy their Vallemayor Blanco, Vallemayor Tinto, and Vallemayor Gran Reserva.

A bit of research and development over in Spain at an organic vineyard located on the outskirts of Aranda de Duero in Spain, Martin Berdugo has been built and re-built by the family after inheriting the land from their grandmother. Planting their first vine in 1990 (34 years ago), and after many trials and errors, their wines now have a level of elegance and purity that is much sought after by the public.

200 acres with soil that has been formed over 2.5 million years ago, it has been a true pleasure being able to taste a selection of their wines, and have been given a viewing of their vineyard and production grounds.

Our bottled wines on the menu have been carefully selected, and we take a lot of pride selecting vineyards who have a deep passion for their winemaking, which showcases the truly incredibly process we pour into your glass on a daily basis.

Sweet Red Pepper Empanada! Our chef Ricardo shares his amazing handmade empanada’s with us on the specials board. Spanish pasty, stuffed with a variety of fillings, one of our current empanada’s is the Sweet Red Pepper Empanada.
