Hampstead Court Care Home recently demonstrated its unwavering commitment to community support with a heart-warming initiative for a cherished member of the Henna Asian Women’s Group.
The luxury care home, located in Westminster and part of the Avery Healthcare Group, opened its doors in May 2023 for the Henna Asian Women’s Group to meet weekly in their facility. The Henna Asian Women’s Group, formed in 1982 by Asian women from India, Pakistan, and East Africa, aims to unite people from diverse backgrounds. As a user-led organisation, the Henna Asian Women’s Group works to enhance the well-being of women and their families by encouraging social interaction, improving health, maintaining independence, and combating deprivation and isolation.
When one of their regular members, Kanchan, experienced a fall and became temporarily housebound, The Henna Asian Women’s Group and the friendly staff at Hampstead Court Care Home took swift action to lift her spirits by organising a surprise ‘Cuppa Concert’ at her home. The impromptu concert, featuring the talented Flautist Danielle, provided a welcome dose of cheer and relaxation for Kanchan and her family.
The delighted Kanchan expressed her gratitude, saying.. “It was so nice of Hampstead Court Care Home to organise such a wonderful and thoughtful gift of music after my fall. I liked that Danielle, the Flautist, came to perform at my house, making it stress-free not to travel and to have my daughter there too. It was an extraordinary surprise. I enjoyed the music; it made me feel happy and relaxed.”
This touching event underscores Hampstead Court Care Home’s commitment to its residents, their friends, families, and the wider local community. Daniel Bridges, Home Manager at Hampstead Court Care Home, said, “We are always looking for ways to go above and beyond for our residents and their loved ones. The ‘Cuppa Concert’ is just one example of how we strive to make a positive impact and bring happiness to those we care for.”
Hampstead Court Care Home has 82 spacious en-suite rooms. The home also offers high-quality nursing, residential, and respite care, and it has luxury facilities, including a cinema room, café, hair salon and therapy suite.
