🌟 Feeling good! 🌟

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to lead a 6.5-hour yoga workshop in London. It was a truly fulfilling experience, sharing my passion for yoga with enthusiastic participants. I can’t wait to do it again soon 🧘‍♀️

Today, I pushed my limits and conquered my own practice at the gym! 💪

And I’ll be back on the mat for our 6am class 😊🌞

The easiest way to spot an addict is to ask them about their addiction and listen to them deny it….

I don't often post anything about food or sugar as people often already know that I specialise in this field.

And with that I am often asked, 'How do you know if someone is addicted to sugar?'

The easy answer is: when they find out what I do, they explain in great detail how they don't have a problem, have never had a problem, and can easily manage their eating habits.

Yet, they are overweight, unhealthy, and unhappy.

That is all. 🤷‍♀️

💫 It’s been just 4 weeks since I opened the yoga studio 😮

🧘‍♀️ And I'm thrilled to share that my personal daily routine of heading to the gym at 6am each weekday to practise yoga has now manifested into a community of amazing yogis 🌙

💯 I am so humbled by the gorgeous feedback I’ve received. Every single person who provided feedback said that they would recommend the sessions to their family and friends, and they have!

🌟 And that’s not all, in class we’re already witnessing some incredible progressions. We’ve seen people feel so relaxed that they've even drifted off during the final meditation. And so many have expressed how important our little sanctuary is to their overall wellbeing - which makes me so happy 🍃

First sun salutation in my NEW yoga studio 🙏🏻 20/06/2024

Today marks the magical Summer Solstice (June 20th, 2024) 🌅✨

On this sacred day, we'll come together as a yoga community to honor the abundance of light and energy that surrounds us. 🌞✨

For those attending class this morning, we will practicing our sun salutations repeatedly as a collective 💪🏼

And for those not able to make it to the studio, please see the steps below if you’d like to practice at home ⬇️

One summer solstice yoga pose that is often practiced is called "Sun Salutation" or "Surya Namaskar."

This sequence of poses is a flowing and energizing series that honors the sun and its life-giving energy.

1. Begin in Mountain Pose (Tadasana),
2. Upward Salute (Urdhva Hastasana),
3. Forward Fold (Uttanasana),

Today sees Blue Monday, and this can be a challenging day for many for their mental, physical, emotional, financial and social health and well-being.

So rather than being shamed by the New Year New Me hype and trying to “be positive” focus on small practical actions you can take today.

Forget comparison and focus on what’s right for you right now ❤️
Here are a couple of ideas below ⬇️

✅ write down all the thoughts that are on your mind, this notion is called brain dumping. By getting thoughts out of your mind and onto paper can provide some mental relief quickly.


✅ instead of calorie counting, add 1 piece of fresh and whole food to your meals today. Focus on foods you “can’t have” will only make you want them more.

✅ swap a hardcore workout for a mindful walk, without headphones. Don’t focus on the distance but on your senses as you walk…e.g.the connection of your feet on the ground.

✅ switch eating your lunch at your desk to taking a break and calling that person you’ve been menaing to get back to.

✅ don’t ignore any bills that are causing you distress, pay the bill, setup a payment plan or access support.

Yoga Workshop 1 complete!

Our cohort completed the first of the series of yoga workshops yesterday at Birmingham’s UK 🧘‍♀️

I’ve had a teaching qualification for a number of years now but decided to complete the next stage of my training last October and have completed 100/200 hrs required. I’ve enjoyed every moment of it and love teaching, here’s to the next 💯 hrs 💪🏼

I signed up to something I was sceptical about. Something that screamed "it won't work" And you all asked me for an update on how it is going. So here it is.....

Just before Christmas, I decided to do the unthinkable and sign up with the gorgeous soul Charlotte Harris for her Free From Sugar Addiction Programme. I met Charlotte at the Polo when a mutual friend introduced us. I remember looking at Charlotte thinking.... deary me girl.... shiny hair, gorgeous skin and a figure to die for. So naturally I got intrigued and got to know her and her Free from Sugar Programme. I signed up. Start Date - Just before Christmas. 😱

I have to be honest - before Christmas??!! There was NO way I would do the programme and succeed. No way. Right?

But here I am over 3 weeks later and can successfully reveal that I have had over three weeks of:

NO CRAVINGS
NO SWEETS
NO CHOCOLATE
NO CRISPS
NO BREAD
NO COFFEE
NO PUDDING
NO SOFT DRINKS
NO DIET COKE
NO PROCESSED FOOD
NO SAUCES FROM THE SHELF
NO SNACKING ALL DAY LONG

Instead I had fresh, gorgeous food mainly consisting of vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, protein, pulses and some dairy. Not once did I feel tempted to go off radar. Not once did I feel deprived or gutted that I could not have this or that.

I have eaten gorgeous, fresh food. I have not felt hungry. I didn't miss out on ANYTHING. I just made conscious, better choices.. almost automatically. I sleep better, I don't wake up hungry and I don't feel bloated.

A Christmas without stuffing my face with all the things I love? Was unthinkable for me! Literally, unthinkable. It's Christmas after all, right?

I am really pleased to say I have signed another contract with the Office of National Statistics to provide an independent view on the Winter Infection Study.

This will be my 4th year of working with the organisation (I do so many things that I often forget to share all the projects I am involved in).

My role will be focused on highlighting the importance of holistic health, accuracy analysis of statistics and alternative approaches.

I’m really proud to be able to be part of the study and to provide a check & challenge to current programme set out by the UK Health Security Agency.

Today is International Menopause Day and this awareness day provides an opportunity to reflect on how menopausal symptoms may be affecting you.

In my role as a clinical hypnotherapist, I work predominantly with menopausal women who are struggling with symptoms such as: brain fog, weight gain, mood swings, difficulties in sleeping, severe anxiety, issues with their memory, confidence and communication and even UTI’s.

They feel lost, like they’re going “mad” and there’s so much misinformation they can get truly overwhelmed.

This can result in more overeating, emotional eating and consuming more sugary foods to fill the void they feel when trying to manage this physiological change alongside the pressure of dieting.

By gaining control of their eating habits and changing their relationship food through my 8-week Freedom from Sugar Addiction programme, they experience a transformation not only of their body but they see a significant reduction in their menopausal symptoms.

You see the refined white sugar causes inflammation in every cell and system in the body, it disregulates hormone levels even more and it depletes the body of energy which worsens that feeling of fatigue.
