If you were buying a hair bow or scrunchie for a friend or family member (or yourself), which one would you be most drawn to?

This is one of my newest fabrics and one of my favourite scrunchies.

Other than describing this as "beautiful", I have very few extras to add.

Hopefully this one speaks for itself.

"How bright are these?" you may ask.
The answer is: VERY!

It's a proper neon pink so would add a real statement to your hair......or daughter's, or niece's, or granddaughter's - whoever you're buying these for.

Fabric placement is everything!

Look at the variations on these bows just because of the pattern on the fabric and where my bow template was placed.

Ordering one of more is these bows would be a bit like a lucky dip as it would be a surprise as to which bow you received!

When you're sat out in the garden (yes, I've started wearing a coat again 🤦🏼‍♀️) and realise your coat matches amazingly with one of the scrunchies featured on the website!

I love this style of flower; super simple but super cute.

Anyone else still drawing flowers like this after learning how to draw them at the age of 7? Drawing is definitely not my strong point!

I did a nursery fair over the summer which was a lot of fun and my last little customer chose two of these and had her hair instantly put into two gorgeous little plait pigtails.

They looked beautifully sweet; the perfect hairstyle to show off these "Pastel Rainbow" bows.

"Flower Garden" has to be one of my favourite scrunchies just because of its huge array of colours and the boldness of those colours.

Because of the way the fabric was cut and folded, the other side of the scrunchie actually has a different colour pattern to it.

This beautiful, pink woodland themed bow is another favourite of my Bows and Bobbles model. She chose the fabric from a craft sale and got first dibs on the scrunchie and bows I made from it.

More autumnal feels from this 'Burnt Orange' scrunchie.

I can't believe I'm posting in August and already talking about autumn!

I'm really hoping for a dry and mild September to extend the amazing last couple of months we've been having - is there such a thing as too many picnics?

I'm missing the sunshine of summer a little bit now but these could also be seen as the golden leaves of autumn, so it's a win-win for these bows!

I love the autumnal colours and as much as I'll miss the long days of summer, I'm looking forward to seeing the huge array of leaf colours as they arrive over the next couple of months.

I've done it! They're was a Setting I needed to change. I got my husband to test it out and it seems to work.

Maybe another day I'll try the photo challenge again 😂

HELP!

So my earlier post asked for people to leave a photo comment, but no one could.

Anyone have any ideas why this might be? Is there a setting I need to change on my profile?

I wanted to do another "Join in" post for followers (and anyone else who may randomly find this post) and hopefully generate lots of comments.

Glitter musings......

I have a love/hate relationship with glitter:

I love it when it's used as an accessory to something - like this gorgeous little scrunchie with gold, glitter hearts.

I hate it when my children want to use it in crafts - how does it always go everywhere!??

Instead of using a matching pink bobble colour, I decided to pick out the green detail to provide a bit more of a contrast.

I had lots of suggestions as the what the red dots are: I think ladybirds, but I had lights, berries and leaves as other suggestions.

Jazzy Blue!

I've given lots of my bows to my little Bows and Bobbles model during the course of me making them, but this is one she specifically asked for.....and came up with the name for too.

My product names are often quite functional - the main reason being so that I know what they look like when putting an order together, but I do think it would be nice to have some more "interesting" names.

If you have any thoughts on how to get my name creativity going they would be greatly appreciated.

It never ceases to amaze me how well customers seem to choose the scrunchies (or bows) that work together so beautifully when put together.

This was my latest order and my lovely repeat customer received them yesterday so I can now share their very tasteful choice of scrunchies.

I did a thing!!

It's not my best work, but I'm trying to explore all the different features available (and there's a lot of them!) when putting together a new post and give them a go.

It may not be exact, but for now it does the job at showcasing all the products in the 'Neon Collection'.

I'm learning which is the main thing.

SUMMER

Summer is most definitely not over yet but we really have been enjoying the outdoors a whole lot more since the weather dried up.

This is where my time and energy and focus has been the last few weeks so there's definitely been less of a Bow and Bobbles presence on here.

I am definitely hoping to get back in to the swing of having a social media presence once again and hoping that will equate to some more sales too!

Custom Orders

We have 40+ different scrunchie designs and 50+ bow bobble designs.

This scrunchie and bow set were a custom order for a customer looking for something her daughter could wear to match her school uniform.

After discussing the desired colour, I sent some fabric option images before the final fabric was decided on and these were made up for her.

One of a kind!

This fabric has quite a big pattern so I decided it would work best as a scrunchie.

However, waste not want not, there was a piece of leftover fabric large enough to fit two bow singles on it.

So here it is: my one of a kind, leaving no scrap of fabric, "Rose Garden" bow.

UPDATE: it wasn't great. It seemed very watery (which sounds bizarre to say about a cup of tea) and also not a very jaffa-y in taste. There was a slight orange/citrus taste to it, but enough for me to say "ooh, I must be drinking jaffa cake tea".
Glad I tried it but I won't be having another one any time soon.

I saw these at aldi this week and wanted to give it a try. What do you think?

I've enjoyed the 'Biscuit Brew' version from Yorkshire Tea (it's my go-to tea for special occasions haha!!) so thought I should branch out into other flavours.
