Day 20! Sorry… I’ve been crap with my posts this week.
So new update on how I feel - I’m always on the go and have lots of energy before I did this, but I feel I have even more energy, I feel more alert & on the ball AND I’ve lost 4lb!!!

Food showing in photos is a veggie starter of cooked beetroot, feta cheese & parsley.

Main meal - Sausage casserole, with kidneys beans, leeks, and I used gluten free pasta.

I had no breakfast, for lunch I had celery sticks & whole radish first, then gluten free pitta bread with goats cheese & salad. ❤️
Totally no refined or fructose sugar today.

Photos from The Reflexology Room's post 09/09/2023

Day 14… method. I weighed myself this morning which I never do, but only because I felt different in the weight department… lost 2lbs. 🤩.

Todays Savoury breakfast : Grilled, mushrooms, yellow courgette & beef tomato.
With a fresh grated ginger tea - ginger is amazing for gut issues & maintaining a healthy gut.

I was up at 6am with lots of energy, I’ve been on a dog walk, and now I’m off to my other business to sell some motorhomes ❤️.

08/09/2023

Day 13… method.

I’ve just made these gluten free wraps for breakfast / lunch!
Watercress, spinach, red pepper 🫑 tomato 🍅, chilli 🌶️, sliced boiled egg 🥚 yum!

Photos from The Reflexology Room's post 07/09/2023

Day 12! UPDATE… method.

Savoury breakfast - Egg muffins from the glucose goddess book.
I added grilled beef tomato.
Mushrooms, spring onion, green pepper, feta cheese & two eggs.
( first photo )

Lunch - BeFree Sweet potato gluten free wraps ( these are lovely, if you’re thinking of going gluten free )
Sun dried tomatoes, spinach, yellow courgette, feta cheese, jalapeño.

Dinner - loin of cod, wedges of lemon, whole garlic cloves, whole chilli with seeds removed, broccoli, spring onions roasted in parchment paper making a mild spicy, garlic juice.
Sweet potato air fried.

Today I’ve proven to myself that food can help to stop my hormonal peri menopause symptoms even after 12 days of changing my food.
My fatigue started yesterday which usually manifests into chronic fatigue for 3 days with a migraine BUT…. The fatigue was mild, lasted 1 day with NO migraine! This is amazing 🤩 because every month I can have 1-2 peri migraines.

I’m loving the changes, it’s simple to do, yes you have to be organised with buying the food & preparing it, but it’s a no brainer if it makes me better.

07/09/2023

Day 12! Egg muffin breakfast!
Today I’m hormonal & hungry 🤤.

Usually once a month when my Oestrogen hormone dips, I’m struck with severe fatigue with a migraine for a few days.
I could tell I started to feel unusually tired yesterday evening, today after a good nights sleep I feel like I could sleep, here’s the positive…,, I have no migraine!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
And I would also say my fatigue isn’t as bad.
I usually have to cancel my clients & look after myself for the day, but today is different, I’m hungry this morning… tired but also hungry, do listening to my body I’m having a healthy savoury breakfast. There’s no sugar of any kind & also no processed gluten free toast.

This is an extremely positive change in my symptoms, bearing in mind that I’m on day 12 of the method.

If you have health problems or hormonal issues please take a look at what you eat, because it’s usually the foods you’re eating that’s affecting your gut, hormones & neurotransmitters. ❤️

See you later for lunch & dinner update

Day 10! Of eating mega healthy by watching how I eat refined sugar, cutting out gluten and watching how I eat starchy carbs.

I’m going back to having no breakfast because this suits me way better! I was making myself eat a savoury breakfast and it was making me feel full.
So I have returned to what feels right & makes me feel lighter.

Todays food included starting at midday:
Carrot, celery, cucumber sticks to start.
Gluten free pitta bread with feta, watercress & spinach & cucumber. Very light lunch.
( first photo )

Dinner: Homemade chicken casserole, with lots of veg included was, celery, leeks, carrot, onion, garlic, mushrooms, baby potatoes. ( Second & third photo )

I really wanted some birthday cake tonight that had given to me from her 70th birthday, but I had no yogurt to have with it 🙄. It looked amazing 🤩 as well.

Remember that on this method you can still eat your favourite cake it just has to be eaten at the very end of a meal & with a plain Greek yogurt.

Only change I see at the moment is no migraines! Which for me means more to me than anything because they knock me out for two days 😢

Changing the way that we eat is about having a healthy mindset & willpower to cut out the things we love sometimes to benefit our health.

I hope these posts help others with their health goals. 🥦❤️

Day 9… of method!
I’ve been shopping AGAIN today to get more vegetables, I’ll look like one soon, never eaten so much veg 😂😂😂.

So for my savoury breakfast ( which I had early at 8am because I was out for Esme’s football match in Coalville all morning, so thought it would be a good idea to have something instead of waiting ) was:-
2 egg plain omelette from my mums chickens with smashed avocado & baby yellow tomatoes. I ate the veg first then the egg. ( First Photo )
No lunch - but I got hungry around 2pm and made a big mistake! I though I was being good a handful of cashew nuts, then realised they might be a starch & I was right! This nut is the highest in starch, so lesson learned there.

Dinner - Veggie starter ( made up recipe) - big handful of bean sprouts, 1 spring onion chopped & a slice of green pepper chopped, 2 tbsp of fermented apple cider vinegar, olive oil & seasalt. This doesn’t look much but it was so delicious, crispy & fresh!
Remember veg lines your stomach so veg must come first always!

Main meal - Spinach & watercress leaves, cucumber & avocado, with olive oil. Half a sweet potato roasted & 1 chicken breast butterflied & seasoned with chicken seasoning from Aldi & salt. Love ❤️ it!
I ate the salad first, then the chicken, then the sweet potato.

Dessert - A glucose desert whether it’s fruit or cake must always be with a protein to protect against sugar spiking the blood.
Two heaped Tbsps of plain coconut yogurt, and a handful of chopped up watermelon.

Now I’m off to do 10 mins of exercise to walk off any glucose. ❤️

See you tomorrow 👋

03/09/2023

Day 8… method.

No breakfast today as I wasn’t hungry!
Lunch I had a BeFree gluten free pitta bread with left over roast chicken, rocket, jalapeño, tomatoes, drizzle of olive oil.
( As long as your wrap / sandwich is high is vegetables then this will stop the glucose spike from the bread )

Dinner - No starch in this dinner.
Chicken fried in cumin, cinnamon, paprika, ginger. Adding onion, yellow pepper, to soften. Add a tin of mixed beans, 2tbsp of tomato purée & simmer with lid on to make a juicy stew. Add crumbled feta cheese & coriander! Obviously season the dish.

10 minute of exercise of sweeping up the patio 😅.

Really loving this now, I don’t crave anything sweet now on day 8, and I’m a sugar addict!
But as a nutritionist I do know that when you pump your body full of goodness and take out all processed food, then your body is getting all it needs and this is why the cravings of carbs & starches also stop.

I just need to up my exercise regime to really get healthy & fit. 💪

Photos from The Reflexology Room's post 31/08/2023

Day 6 of method.
So I ate a lovely savoury breakfast of bacon, fresh large beef tomato grilled, 3 mushrooms & half an avocado, at 10am went off to work, had nothing else until 6pm tonight!
I was hungry around 3pm, especially when everyone in the office were munching on dry ryvita cracker breads & rice cakes! I ignored them by the way. 😅
So tonight i decided to up the game and jump to week 2 & 3 in the book, all at the same time because I knew I was going to eat a large meal with quite a bit of starch ( carbs turn to glucose).
I downed a glass of apple cider vinegar water ( 1tbsp in a large glass of water), this stops the sugar spike in the blood.
I made a veggie starter of spicy cauli slices in the air fryer, no oil ( see photo) to help stop the glucose spike even more.
Then I had chicken stir fry with egg fried rice for my main. ( see photo)
Dessert I had fresh raspberries with coconut yogurt. ( Fruit has to be coated in a protein to stop the fructose spiking the blood sugars ).
Loved it all, best meal so far.
I’ve had the best energy today as well, still not had any ill effects from cutting out sugar!
See you tomorrow for day 7! X

30/08/2023

Day 5
Of no glucose ( sugar ) & watching the intake of starches ( carbs ) & fruit ( fruit sugar)
All of these above 👆 spike our glucose levels, aka blood sugar levels, which leads to inflammation & inflammatory conditions.
Eating our food in a certain way so that are blood sugars don’t spike will help & can even stop 🛑 inflammation.
Also fantastic for:
Fantastic for Diabetes type 1 & 2
Mental health / anxiety / depression.

This recipe is new to me & out of the glucose goddess book. Loin of cod with a tahini cream over the fish with Dill & broccoli 🥦.
Symptoms - only strange thing that happened was that I woke up at 4am feeling wide awake!
It took me 90 mins to fall back to sleep. today I’ve felt good today, focused on work & not sluggish of tired.
No migraine in sight ( hormonal) which I usually get them frequently. I’m also cutting out gluten to see if the migraines stop from cutting this out too.

Other meals today:
Breakfast nothing as I was too busy.
Lunch was a BeFree gluten free Pitta with feta cheese, spinach, jalapeños & olive oil for a dressing. Yum! I’m so proud for not succumbing to crisps & chocolate which I eat everyday!

29/08/2023

Day 4 of
No glucose or gluten for breakfast!
Mushrooms, Swiss chard, tomatoes & two eggs, gently simmered in a frying pan with a lid on to cook / steam very gently.
I haven’t had any detox symptoms yet.

Photos from The Reflexology Room's post 28/08/2023

28/08/2023

Day 3 no sign of Glucose or Gluten in sight !
Left over Salad & Greek salad with two rashers of naked bacon ( free from sodium nitrate preservatives ). Drizzled with olive oil.
Adding seeds or flaxseeds on top is worthwhile for extra health benefits, flaxseed is an amazing omega 3 fatty acid, great for detoxing, joints, hormones, gut health.

Photos from The Reflexology Room's post 27/08/2023

It’s all about the veggies 🥗 with the glucose method! A lovely Greek salad & fresh Avocado Salsa for a BBQ lunch.

27/08/2023

Day 2! Glucose & gluten Free ❤️
My savoury breakfast
1 good quality sausage, free range eggs, feta cheese with spinach, & chestnut mushrooms used with olive oil.

Photos from The Reflexology Room's post 26/08/2023

I’m starting this today! Thank you for sharing it with me yesterday! ❤️ our little get togethers, it always falls at the right time.
So changing the way we eat sugars & starches is key to healthy blood sugar levels. This will stop inflammation, and the reason I’m doing it really is to loose that fat around my middle & help my hormones to balance & get rid of hormonal migraines, & to make me feel energetic.

Also watch her video on YouTube https://youtu.be/DnEJrgc1BCk?si=_jeDseR9vKe534Jo

Everyone should be following this, it will help prevent cancer & type 2 diabetes, its helps stop dementia, arthritis, Skin conditions, it’s also anti-aging as too much glucose in the blood ages are cells very fast!
Enjoy! Xx
Edit! - I forgot to mention that this really helps mental health too, which in this day and age, most people need help with. Remember guys, food is your medicine or your poison.

OMG this is delicious! I rustled it up making a fresh fajitas with boneless chicken thighs, but it turned into a kind of Mexican stew because I’d put a lid on the pan whilst I popped out to pick up my daughter, with a yellow pepper & 5 fresh big tomatoes 🍅 both from the greenhouse.
Came home to find a wonderful stew! So I added a ti of Aldi’s taco beans to it to make it thicker. It’s bloody delicious!

Marinade recipe all in a bowl.
8 Boneless thighs
1 red onion finely chopped
4 cloves of garlic
2 tsps of ground cumin
2 tsps of ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
Pinch of cayenne pepper
1tsp of dried chilli flakes
3tsps of English mustard
2 tbsp of tomato purée in the tube.
Mix all this together & then fry in a heavy based frying pan with olive oil. When chicken is half cooked put on a lid on it cook for 10 mins on a medium heat.
Then add 1 red / orange or yellow pepper chopped & 4 big fresh tomatoes quartered, pop and a big drizzle of honey & season with lots of salt & pepper, simmer on low for 40 mins. This will make a lovely sauce without even adding water!
Chop up the chicken or shred whilst I’m the pan & add a tin of taco beans in tomato sauce. Hey presto a Mexican stew!
Once added to my dish, I crumbled on Greek feta cheese & chopped coriander. Healthy & low in fat.
From my heart to yours 💕.

😍 Homemade granola, with plain coconut yogurt ( great for the gut )! And freshly picked blackberries from my garden & to finish it off it has a drizzle of Manuka honey.

Join myself and Kat Berry of for a 2-hour session of Yin Yoga and Sound Therapy ❤️‍🩹.

💫 Sunday 21 May
💫 7-9pm
💫 Seagrave Village Hall LE12

Sound Therapy is well documented in nourishing the Yin. When conducted with relaxation in mind, therapeutic sound sessions can reduce blood pressure, heart rate and relax the autonomic nervous system. The healing frequencies of certain instruments can slow down our brainwaves, taking them from an awake and alert state to a more altered, deeply meditative state. Perfect for encouraging the body to release into the poses of Yin Yoga, especially if you have a busy mind.

Accompanying the yoga practice, sounds are gently created by a variety of overtone-emitting instruments including quartz crystal and Himalayan singing bowls and planetary tuned gongs. Kat will then build the waves of sound for an extended savasana including chimes, shruti box, drum and percussion instruments.

This beautiful combination of restorative practices offers the potential to relax, realign and nourish you on all levels before a wonderful night’s sleep.

A great tip from my fellow reflexologist friend Karen Jones Reflexology.

A great tip for maintaining balanced hormones is to ensure that you're getting adequate sleep. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night to give your body the rest it needs to regulate hormones and keep your system in balance.

Additionally, regular exercise is a great way to support hormone health, as it helps you maintain a healthy weight, keeps your stress levels low, and boosts your energy.
