Imagine the environmental impact it has to transport things from a far off land either crossing the ocean or on a plane vs having it made by talented people a few towns away. What’s more is that all our products are made from 100% natural fibres, and we are proud to keep it that way.

🇬🇧 5/6 Reason to buy products made in the UK. At times it’s difficult to be patriotic, we get that, but keeping money inside our country benefits a lot more than you think. Say you buy something from us, before we can even think of profit, 20% goes to Her Majesty Revenue & Customs. Even though funds seem to be so poorly managed at times, even if a percentage of that goes to promoting better public services, we’ll be happy. This is compounded by the British suppliers have meticulously chosen, and their British suppliers. Overall, there’s no doubt buying things made in the UK helps our local economy.

We take an extraordinary amount of pride in the products we produce, and as cliche as that sounds, our products and customer service echo those sentiments. Buying from a UK based company means you’re promoting the same craftsmanship we are globally synonymous with. If you’ve travelled the world, you know this. Anything bearing the Union Jack is immediately recognised as being of higher quality compared to something with “Made in [insert country here]” written in fine print. Being a part of that synonym holds us accountable for producing best in class products that stand the test of time. Yes you pay more for something made in the UK but much greater care is taken in getting that product from raw material to finished product.

🇬🇧 3/6 Reason to buy products made in the UK. We’re fortunate to have a team of Martians 👽that are highly skilled in what they do. The unfortunate truth is that their skills are difficult to come by. Not many people these days want to pursue the same career path. Many would rather sit on bean bags, sipping a pumpkin spice latte, on a teams meeting. Yes every role has it’s place, but like it or not, we’re quickly losing skilled workers in our industry and I’m sure that goes for many others as well.

When you support a UK based company, you’re ensuring some longevity in the essential skills we keep so close.

🇬🇧 2/6 Reason to buy products made in the UK. When you’re buying from us, you’re buying direct from manufacturer. You’re keeping our dream of preserving UK manufacturing alive. As a country we don’t do nearly as much manufacturing as we once did, and that makes us sad. Like many other UK companies we try as much as possible to source everything from UK based companies, and why not. Fast turn around times, meeting our suppliers face-to-face, and keeping money in our local economy are reason enough to pursue the dream.

🇬🇧 1/6 Reason to buy products made in the UK. First, let’s address the elephant 🐘in the room. It is more expensive to buy British made products, and that is largely down to the that thing called minimum wage. In Bangladesh a human being in the leather and footwear industry goes home with a whopping 8100 Taka or £74. That’s not in a day dear, that’s £73 a month. I’m no economist but that doesn’t sound too fair. It’s not just down to the countries poor legislation either, corporations are ruthless when it comes to sourcing a cheaper product. This leads to factories having to be more competitive and having their workers absorb the cost.

Tangent aside, for your extra British rubles, you will be supporting your local economy, and helping UK businesses employ key team members. It’s impossible to buy everything UK made, but you’ll get a warm fuzzy feeling when you do, knowing you’re looking after your fellow Britons.
