One of the (many!) beauties of Bowen Therapy is that it is so portable.

You can work with a person lying on a massage table, and you can work equally well with someone lying across the tailgate of a ute, on a bush walk, or across the end of a double bed.

On this day, April 18 1916, Thomas Ambrose Bowen was born.

If you suffer with Hayfever, did you know acupuncture can help?

Desperate to help my son before his A levels came last year, I treated him for 6 weeks, once a week with acupuncture.

He used to feel dreadful, runny eyes and nose, swollen eyes, horrible lethargy, woolly head, and malaise.

But the treatment changed everything for him! Wonderfully he had no Hayfever at all, apart from a couple of days with itchy eyes. He didn’t reach for the anti histamines. Nothing like before!

So if you get hit by pollen, and you know the time of year you particularly suffer, count back 5-6 weeks, and get booked in for a course of treatment before the season starts for you. Treatment in the weeks before the symptoms start is better.

It could make all the difference to your summer.

Physiotherapy in the NHS - it’s in a sad and sorry state.

What is physio if not to rehabilitate patients after illnesses or accidents?

There appears to be shrinking physical space in hospital for rehab, and less and less time given to patients for rehab. People feel like they are on their own.

It is becoming normalised for patients to have to fund their own treatment when they get home.

I fear our government is gradually and deliberately allowing the slide into private healthcare, starting with the therapies

If you need emergency surgery, pharmacological interventions, jabs the NHS is there. Physiotherapy? You pay for it yourself!

It stinks.

I’ve had a cancellation for tomorrow, Thursday at 2.00pm - does anyone need an appointment? 🤗
