Reports To: Manager/Directors/Accountant.

Job Overview

Working as part of a small team from the company’s Glenfield office, the job involves general bookkeeping and accounts work.

Duties:
Processing sales orders and invoices.
a) Processing purchase invoices.
b) Bank reconciliations.
c) Completing VAT returns.
d) Credit control, following up overdue invoices.
e) Processing bank payments.
f) General office administration.
g) Liaising with the external accountants.
h) Carrying out other duties required to ensure the smooth running of the accounts function.

Person Specification - Skills, Knowledge, Personal Qualities.

Essential:
a) Excellent numerical analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
b) Knowledge of financial and accounting systems.
c) Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
d) Organised, efficient and proactive approach.
e) Ability to work well as part of a team and using own initiative.
f) Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a variable workload and manage time effectively.
g) Maintain confidentiality and comply with requirements under the Data Protection Act 2018.
h) Good IT skills.

Desirable but not essential:
a) AAT Qualified.
b) Xero accounting software.
c) Experience with payroll, expense claims, pension preparation and submissions.
d) Knowledge of the construction industry and submission of CIS returns.

to join our company

You will need a full clean UK driving licence

Your day to day tasks will consist of-

Delivery of materials & plant to various sites

Taking material orders from operatives on site, collecting what is needed and delivering back out to site

Removal of rubbish from various sites.

You should be able to organise yourself and your day well with the daily tasks given to you .

Conduct yourself in the correct manner and be polite to any customers you come into contact with
