📷 We went to explore Nick Stanley’s Photography exhibition! Here’s a sneak peek!

Nick is holding this exhibition in memory of his wife, Barbara, who sadly died as a result of Motor Neurone Disease in April 2022. Nick would also like to support the Stroke Association, as Nick had multiple strokes in March 2014 which have left him severely sight-impaired, he’s keen to raise awareness of stroke and raise money to ensure that the Stroke Association is able to fund critical stroke research and continue to support people who’ve had a stroke.

💅💼 Katherine was a Nail Technician for 20 years, but her circumstances changed due to health reasons. Therefore, Katherine started a new, exciting, professional journey by joining our Business Administration course.

Come and learn more about our Hansom Hall this Saturday, 10am-12noon!

Affectionately known as the “Pork Pie Chapel”, Belvoir Street Chapel was designed by Joseph Hansom, inventor of the horse–drawn cab. Built in 1845 to accommodate a growing Baptist congregation, it was designed for up to 1,500 people and included lecture and schoolrooms. Its circular interior was lit by gas, presenting a “brilliant appearance”.
Today it forms part of Leicester Adult Education College and is referred to as Hansom Hall, after its architect.

This Saturday 7th September, talking tours will give visitors the chance to view the balcony of this unique building. One of Leicester's hidden heritage gems not normally open to the public:

Upcoming photography exhibition in our basement gallery: "The Art of Photography" by Nick Stanley MBE! 📷

🖼️ 🏅 This exhibition is a retrospective of Nick’s work over 42 years of his career and is a truly eclectic collection of stunning photography. Many of the images displayed have won professional photography awards.

Nick wanted to stage this exhibition to share his love of photography and to raise awareness and much-needed funds for two charities that are important to him. The main reason for holding this exhibition is in memory of Nick’s wife, Barbara, who sadly died as a result of Motor Neurone Disease in April 2022.
