The face of pure joy! Our winner of the FFF Cup Final Tickets in the Man United end has had the time of his life today. So happy for you Paul. Glad we made your day, year… life?
All the tournament bibs washed, sorted and ready for next time!
So many more photos to come, but what an amazing day at the FFF Tournament!!
We had 8 women’s teams and 20 men’s teams, 3 bouncy castles, families, supporters, pizzas and beer! All our favourite things.
It was so brilliant to see representation from all of our 26 sessions all playing together and having fun. Posts on the results to follow, but for now a MASSIVE thanks to you all for turning out and playing with FFF spirit, huge thanks to Dan Booth for all his hard work and to Midshires Search & Rescue for providing medical support.
We hope you all had fun, we bloody loved it ⚽️⚽️
Our last few sessions of this Mental Health Week supported by our men’s and women’s sessions in Hitchin and Biggleswade. The whole club has been donating money to this fab cause, but more importantly it’s been a good reminder that we are a club and there is always someone there if you need to talk or just to come and play and let off some steam in a fun environment ⚽️💚
More green at our sessions supporting Mental Health Week. This year the topic is all round movement for mental health, which fits naturally and perfectly with our football sessions, where new faces are quickly welcomed into the sessions and everyone has the opportunity to get back to playing football in a friendly and welcoming environment.

It’s Mental Health Awareness week and our sessions are wearing green (not an easy task in football kit unless you are Irish or a goalkeeper!). But we are trying! Be kind, support each other and most of all keep talking.
Coming soon 🎉 Buckinghamshire we are coming to get you! Get in touch for more details and to join the interest list.
Next week our sessions are all supporting Mental Health Week by wearing green for awareness.
Mental health is so important and at FFF we hope that playing sport, being active and feeling part of a team can help all our players when things are tough. But also that it’s not something to be ashamed of, please try to reach for a friend if you feel you need to talk.
“I've been an FFF player for over two years now and I am hugely passionate about good mental health for all. My FFF sessions had a huge positive impact on my mental health when I was struggling with fertility issues. Mental Health still has huge stigma attached and at the Mental Health Foundation we know poor mental health is not inevitable. We believe that everyone deserves good mental health. We want to build a society where everybody can thrive.
We’re challenging the way things are done so that no-one living in the UK is deprived of the opportunity for good mental health because of who they are, the community they come from or where they live.
The Mental Health Foundation is home to Mental Health Awareness Week and this year we are putting the spotlight on movement. We want to improve public understanding of the link between movement and mental health, and give people the tools to manage their own mental health by moving more. By taking part in Wear it Green Day at one of your FFF sessions next week you are helping us make that change, by raising vital funds for mental health.”

You will have seen us posting about the London Marathon My Way which ran through the night in Letchworth on Saturday.
One of our Hatfield players, Jack, completed the marathon. This is most notable because Jack has cerebral palsy.
What an achievement. We salute you Jack.
If you feel you can help Jack reach his goal of raising £500 please donate below.

So, as if a marathon is not challenging enough, Wayne and several of our players decide to do it starting at midnight, in Letchworth with no crowds as part of the London Marathon do it your way.
Doesn’t sound like my idea of fun, but Wayne Mitchell DID IT! 🎉💥
Thank you to for excellent organisation and for having this idea in the first place.
The Flawed Hero Movement, bought together an incredible diversity of men. Ages, races, backgrounds, and abilities. All for the shared purpose of raising funds, awareness & support for men’s mental health, and for the charity “It’s Never You”.
Its Never You offers vital support to parents of terminally ill children. Life is hard, we all have battles and struggles, but I couldn’t imagine what losing a child could feel like.
I’ve never seen him so happy to be back home, but I couldn’t be prouder. He won’t shout about it, so I will.
If anyone wants to donate, Wayne is raising money with on the link below.
Congratulations to everyone and good luck to anyone running the London Marathon today.

Good luck to all our players who are taking part in the Flawed Hero virtual marathon tonight in Letchworth, including our very own Wayne Mitchell. It’s all smiles now!
Setting off running at midnight is not my idea of fun, but you go for it!
I hope you all smash it 💪
Just over a week to go! Starting 23rd April at St Mary and Homerton. Only a few spaces left. First session is free. Book your space ⚽️

Welcome to Football for Fathers
'Football for Fathers' was initially the fantastic idea of local Hitchin Dad, William "Bill" Poole. Together with Wayne, Neil, Matt, Adam and Alex (and Chris before he stepped down in October 2019) - they form Football for Father's 6-man Management Committee.
Football for Fathers (FFF) has now evolved considerably from the original idea of a weekly Dad's 'kick-around'. In under three years FFF has gone from "jumpers for goalposts" in the local park to a group of over 200+ local Dads, all paying subscriptions, four sessions per week on professional, floodlight astro-turf, summer tournaments, awards evenings, charitable fundraising, offers of international friendlies, mountain biking and Ryder Cup golf tournaments.
Three years in, the club has continued to evolve - now running a dedicated session for Womens' Football and our first evening session in Letchworth.
Central to FFF becoming such a success has been the hard work and organisation of the Committee, the support of many people and organisations, and the enthusiasm of all our players.
