It is with great pleasure that we announce Outdoor Soap Company is now under new management.

As many of you will know, last year Ben decided to take a step back from soap making. During this time, Ben made the very difficult decision to move on from Outdoor Soap Company. He will be missed, but we want to thank him for all his hard work, time and effort. Ben - we wish you all the very best for the future.

Over the last few months, we have been going though a transition period in which Naomi has been learning the ropes; as she prepares to take on the responsibilities of running Outdoor Soap Company.

Was so nice taking Teddy out last weekend and exploring one our favourite woods. We spent the day hunting for mushrooms (not actually foraging - we just like identifying them and ticking them off!) - we ticked off all our favourites - Psilocybin (magic mushrooms), Fly agaric (the famous red and white mushroom pictured), Beefsteak, Stinkhorn, puff balls and more!

Oats have been used for thousands of years as a way to soothe and treat the skin topically. The use of oats and the extracts made from them first became popular as a cosmetic ingredient during the 1930’s when their power to relieve itching and protect the skin became widely known.

If you’re looking to experience the itch relieving power of oats, then you can’t go wrong with our Cedarwood and Siberian Fir soap. Formulated as a shaving soap, the oats also give a colloidal “slip” that helps razors move over the skin easily - reducing friction 🪒

How’s everyone’s Saturday? I’ve been experimenting in the studio recently and thinking about reducing my wastage. Here’s some soap offcuts from my recent batches. I’m thinking of selling sample packs - potentially with gift vouchers included. DM me if you’ve got some ideas of if you’re interested 🤔

Yes - this bearded, scruffy-looking bloke is me. Here you can see me holding a big block of soap. Notice that I’m trying to look as relaxed and poised for this pic as possible, but in reality I was really struggling to hold this 😩😂

Recently I’ve been stocking up on the Cedarwood and Siberian Fir soaps in time for Christmas - I know that’s a long time away, but these soaps take a while to cure!!Thinking of Christmas, are there any scents that get you in the festive mood? 🌲🤔

Man, I love looking closely at my soaps after they’ve been cut - especially this Tea Tree and Eucalyptus bar. When I first started making soaps, I wanted them to look like they’ve been hewn straight from the ground. Each bar has it’s own characteristics; flecks of Kaolin clay here and there, cut marks and the slightly rough texture of charcoal 👌

Here’s a bar of Lavender and Litsea soap. With the scrubbing power of poppy seeds and the cleansing properties of Fuller’s Earth, this soap is brilliant at removing the dirt after a hard day’s graft. ⁠

Not only is rosemary a wonderfully refreshing scent when mixed with peppermint essential oil in our Rosemary and Peppermint bar, it's also been known to stimulate the mind and boost mental clarity 🧐.

All of our soaps produce a strong lather which is great for shaving. The natural oils also provide a great lubrication for a close and smooth finish.

Our Lavender & Litsea Cubeba soap is formulated to deeply cleanse after a muddy day in the garden or the great outdoors.
