There is celebration of growth in the colours and hints of change the shedding of leaves. Reminding me that change can be welcomed, needed even. But also, that we can experience the fullness of life in the here and now. Experience this change in noticing the colours, the textures, the light of the low autumnal sun.

How we speak to ourselves is really important for our self esteem. Be aware what your โinner criticโ is saying and notice how that makes you feel.
A key question you could ask yourself is this -
Would I talk to a friend or loved one the way I talk to myself?
No?โฆ.then why am I talking to myself so harshly?
Is there space to be kinder to to yourself, more compassionate?โฆ.you are important.

Had a lovely email through to me this morning informing me that I have passed my certificate of proficiency assessment and I am now a Registered Member of the BACP! ๐
Being on the BACP Register demonstrates to clients that I have met the required standard for training and ethical practice.
With the counselling profession still unregulated, this registration can go some way to reassuring clients that I have the relevant experience and training required to work therapeutically with them.

My lovely, lovely *NEW* therapy room!! ๐
Prior to todayโs โWalk and Talkโ session, I started with a spot of mindfulness in the woods, felt the warm sun on my face, stood listening to the wind rustling the leaves ๐ and interestingly I noticed I was drawn to plants with new growth and re-growth either from old stumps or through seasonal change ๐ฑ. After the end of the session, it took a bit of a damp, stormy turn. I rushed back to the car and sat for a while listening to the hail on the car roof, noting the sensations within me and thoughts that passed by. On the drive home I stopped (safely!) as I was struck by a bizarre phenomenon of the road steaming! ๐ค Itโs amazing what I see, notice and feel when I just stop in the here and now and just โbeโ, in the present moment.
