Thank you to everyone that’s supported us throughout 2021. It’s great to chat to each and every one of you, you all just have this great ability to bring such a fantastic atmosphere into Castle View that it makes it a pleasure to walk through the doors every day.
Happy New Year everyone, may 2022 bring you as much joy and happiness as you bring us.
We have an opportunity for a waiter/waitress to join our team.
Experience not necessary as training will be given.
36 hours per week, evenings only and must be able to work weekends.
It’s been an incredibly tough and long couple of weeks, but we’re finally able to open our doors again, we’re ready to listen to your stories over that nice cold pint of Lal Toofan and a good curry!
We would also like to extend our personal thanks, for your patience, kindness, understanding, well wishes, cards, gifts and messages of support, you have truly overwhelmed us.
As of today we’re back open 7 days a week, every day from 5pm to 11pm, please spread the word and share with your friends, we really cannot wait to see you all!
Hi everyone,
Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we will be extending our closure, we should be back open on Tuesday 13th.
Stay safe everyone, it seems even with two vaccine doses you can become ill.
Thank you all so much for understanding
Hello to all you wonderful people.
We will be closed until Tuesday 6th July at the earliest.
Unfortunately we have a positive case of Covid-19 within the family, rest assured that none of our team have yet tested positive, however many of you know our team is like one little family, and with a poorly teenager, we would rather take the financial hit and close than risk potentially further infections.
We are tying our best to cancel all bookings until next week, but we are unable to get through to everyone, if you do have, or know anyone that has a table booked with us, please do pass on the message.
Anyone that has visited us over the past few days should not worry, this case was picked up in a school setting and this is an incredibly difficult decision for us to make when we were just getting back on our feet, however, we are just trying to be cautious due to the silent incubation period of covid and hopefully preventing further spread, which of course takes priority over everything else.
Stay safe folks, it’s not ever yet
So it’s been a long and cold few months since you were all enjoying dining upstairs in the restaurant, but yet through another lockdown you have managed to continuously support us with take aways!
We are eternally grateful for all the support you have given us, and even more so for the many friendships we have gained, you even kept us in the top 10! If we were allowed, we’d give you a high five for that, but since we’re not allowed, we’ll just have to open online bookings and tables can now be booked online from the 17th May, do keep an eye on the news though, just in case Boris decides the 17th May isn’t acceptable!
We so miss you and the banter so much we’ve decided that from the 17th May we’ll be back operating 7 days a week, so Mondays you can get that curry fix too.
We’ll see you soon

Lincoln's best takeaways according to customer reviews Customers have been raving about some of the city's top picks
Wow wow wow! And a disclaimer that this could get a bit emotional!
What an absolute rollercoaster the last year has been, but reading this certainly lifted our spirits.
Lincolnshire may feel small, but it certainly covers a lot of curry houses! We’re so proud to maintain the top spot despite lockdown after lockdown.
We can only thank all of our loyal guests, it’s all down to you.
We may be living in a world full of misery, but you all still manage to bring such a magical atmosphere to Castle View!
For us, it’s not just about serving you up a Ruby Murray, it’s the chats and the laughs and the overwhelming feeling of love and gratitude you grace us with.
Thanks for keeping us going, Lincolnshire, we salute you 🙏🙏🙏
Top Indian restaurant takeaways according to TripAdvisor reviews Nothing beats curry on a cold wintry night
Happy new year to all of our amazing friends in Lincoln!
We’re now full for takeaway orders today, so if you managed to preorder one, well done! For those of you that weren’t so fortunate, we’ll be back open tomorrow on New Year’s Day so you don’t miss out.
It’s been one nightmare of a year, but thanks to you all, we’re still here, it really does mean so much that throughout all the hardship the whole hospitality industry has faced, Lincoln has held our hand and kept us going strong.
Happy new year to you all, it may not feel like it, but we’re sure, at some point in 2021 things will be great again!
Love and peace to each and every one of you 🙏
An update on our festive opening hours, we will continue to close on Monday evenings, over Christmas we will remain open on Christmas Eve, and more importantly, Boxing Day. We will close on Christmas Day, and while the rest of the world enjoys precious family time on Boxing Day, we’ll be open for takeaway, to save the hassle of more cooking and a nice break from turkey sandwiches.
Over new year we will also be open as normal on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
We also want to say a huge thank you for all the support we have received over this difficult year, you’ve all been here for us, and during what has been a really awful time for many, you all still manage to leave here with a smile on your face and bring in such a fantastic atmosphere.
You all really do make Castle View such a wonderful place to be, the banter, the company and the giggles are what keeps us going.
Take care, keep being sensible, keep yourselves safe, and we’ll see you all soon.
As it’s just been announced, Lincolnshire will be entering into tier 3 restrictions next week, unfortunately that means all tables booked with us until the 16th December at the earliest will be cancelled.
This was not the news that we wanted to hear, but it’s on all of us to follow the guidelines, and hopefully we’ll come out of this sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, we’ll still be open Tuesday - Sunday for all of your takeaway needs.
Stay safe you lovely people, we’re sure we’ll see you all again soon.
Hello to our good friends of Lincoln!
Now that we’ve entered lockdown 2 it’s going to be a while before we’re allowed to let you in for a sit down meal.
The good news is, we’ll be carrying on with takeaway, no reduced menus here, we’ve got everything from a vegan korma to chicken phall!
Please remember to wear a face mask when collecting!
We look forward to filling your bellies with yummy currys, but more so, saying hello to all of you.
Stay safe good friends
We’ll see you all tomorrow then!
3,2,1...... go! Bookings are now turned on!
Thank you so much to everyone that has eaten in over the last few days and helped us settle into our new routine, we’re sure you’ll all feel really safe and we can’t wait to welcome you all to dine in again.
So everyone, you’ve been extremely patient with us whilst checking in on when we’re opening again.
We’ve been getting ready making the restaurant safe for you and our staff. We’re so excited to start welcoming you all back soon.
It’s been another busy week and we hope you’ve enjoyed a lovely curry on this sunny Saturday.
We would just like to thank you once again for all of your support, if you’re still up and have been watching BBC 1, you may have spotted us on Peter Crouch’s show tonight.
It is down to all our wonderful friends and supporters that make it possible for us to be recognised nationally, with the continued national requests, we just wanted to let you know, we’re here for you Lincoln!
Social distancing... we’ve got you covered, thank you for adhering to the rules, and for the outstanding reviews!
It’s almost the weekend again, only this one is a bank holiday. We have limited availability for collections tomorrow so please get orders in early to avoid being disappointed.
However, as much as we love seeing you all, please do remember to stay at home if you or a member of your household is displaying any symptoms, we hate to turn you away, but the safety of our staff and customers needs to come first.
Take care and stay safe
Wow! What a night! Our last order for tonight has just gone out and we would like to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you!
It was absolutely fantastic to see the street lined with so many of you having a pint and a socially distant chat, the whole community really has come together to support us.
Would also like to say thank you to everyone that has been showing their appreciation to us by bringing flowers and chocolates, but it really is not needed, we are here for you!
And a quick update, we have limited availability for takeaway tomorrow (Sunday) and we will be closing on Mondays to allow our team a rest so we can ensure that we continuously have the same team working throughout this time.
Thank you again for visiting us, your much appreciated kind comments, your loyalty and patience.
We look foreword to seeing you all soon.
Take care and stay safe
When our friends bring us cards and chocolate it makes us smile and feels all the more worth it to be open knowing we are appreciated so much! thanks so much Liz Templeman and Jeremy Bingham.
Lincoln, we’ve got you for all of your curry cravings!
It’s the weekend!
This week has been a huge success and it has been absolutely wonderful to see so many old and new friendly faces.
We have now filled our capacity for orders this evening and have limited slots available tomorrow.
Thank you so much to each and every one of you for respecting social distancing and making it possible for us to be open, it’s been a busy week, but collectively we’ve made it safe for everyone.
Stay safe, and we look foreword to seeing you all soon.
Hello to you all, we have been overwhelmed with messages of support and would like to thank you all so much for bearing with us during this time of crisis.
After much deliberation we have decided to open for takeaway only, starting from Tuesday 28th April.
Our opening hours will be 5pm to 9.30pm daily, however, we respectfully request that all orders are preordered over the phone, with no ordering and waiting inside available to ensure social distancing guidelines are adhered to.
Due to the small size of our waiting area, we will be asking guests to wait outside in the allotted zones until you are called in to collect your order.
We will operate a one way system and request that all guests leave through a separate exit which a member of our team will guide you through.
As our licence permits off sales, we will also have limited bottled alcohol for you to take away with you, please note that no alcohol is to be consumed on the premises to ensure current guidelines are followed appropriately.
At present we will not be offering a delivery service as we will be working with a reduced number of staff to ensure appropriate social distancing measures are enforced for our team.
Our menu will not be limited in any way, and our usual extensive range of dishes will be available.
This of course, is all very new for all of us, so please bear with us while we navigate this new approach, we have missed you all and look foreword to seeing you again soon.
We thank you for continuing to support us as a small, family run, local business, please spread the word to ensure as many people as possible can access our delicious food.
Stay safe and see you soon
It’s nearly that time where people are calling for takeaways and we have been inundated with messages of love and support.
Our decision to close for takeaways was not taken lightly, but as many of you know, our waiting area is too small for the amount of guests we serve, you are all so close to us, it would be impossible to implement social distancing measures, and our top priority is keeping the public and our staff as safe as we reasonably can. Sometimes, nothing is more important than health, family and friendships, it is those that we need to protect.
For those of you that are aware of how small our premises is, and know the stock we carry is all fresh, we have decided to donate all of our fresh, meat, chicken and vegetables to the NHS and EMAS (East Midlands Ambulance Service) to help them through this crisis while they struggle to find food on the shelves, please think of them when shopping.
As you are all aware, we will be closing the restaurant tomorrow, we will also be closing takeaways during this uncertain period, although extreme, this seems the most sensible option due to the size of our premises.
We would all like to thank you for your kindness, support, generosity and loyalty, all this has been built on friendship and we appreciate each and every one of you.
Be sensible, stay safe and take care.
Happy New Year to all of you! 2019 has been an amazing year for us, and we couldn’t have it done without the support from everyone, old and new, may 2020 bring more great memories, but above all, health and happiness for all of you.
We’re finalists again! This time for the most wanted restaurant of the year. Thank you for all of the nominations and support.
