Kampala Yénkya is also a game of mapmaking and worldbuilding. About collaborating to create the future of a city—Kampala, Uganda. Created by the brilliant Jo Lindsay Walton, a game designer, writer, academic, and activist from South Africa.

Putting the final touches to this story & activity book 😍

A little while back I designed a logo for an environmental club in Uganda as a pro-bono project—UYE Club. One of my main colleagues and collaborators managed to print some t-shirts and sent them over as prices for the kids who were play-testing a game we worked on and giving valuable feedback on the game mechanics.

It is so cool and rewarding to see this—and seeing a game being invented, written, and designed from the very beginning to the final product. I am in awe of the whole team: game designer Jo Lindsay Walton in collaboration with science fiction writer Dilman Dila, environmental scientists Polina Levontin and Maurice Ssebisubi. 😍

We are working on refining it & the website for it (which exists in a very basic form, mainly so people can already download it).

I've mostly been building Wordpress sites lately; but this one I had to go back to html/css coding—and having a lot of fun! 😍 Work in progress/coming soon.

A very quick project with an urgent turnaround time: a banner as a companion piece to advertise the poster I made for EWM-NL—which is now available in multiple languages!
