A painting class, hosted by Nayna Lad, a freelance arts + crafts facilitator and a former art teacher of 18 years.

She'll be leading the workshop on Thursday 20th June. No experience necessary. Nayna will provide all the painting materials and assistance for you to go home with an amazing piece of artwork!

Freya, our Baker is making some mini bakes to enjoy whilst getting creative and we'll be serving up a glass of Prosecco for everyone to begin with.

We make just about everything we possibly can in house 🏠

From these puff pastry sausage + onion rolls 😋 to seasonal flavoured kombucha.

The cakes are made by Freya from , she's always hard at work baking in the morning before we open at 8.30am, so that we have fresh stuff daily.

Throughout the year we have seasonal iced teas, again made by our baristas. We also have real lemonade on tap and blueberry cinnamon nitro on draught.

We had a load of wild garlic so we made a compound butter with it, then made butter pasta with it. Sort of cacio e pepe:

Spaghetti, butter, wild garlic, a lot of black pepper, a lot of parmesan, lemon.

Making the most of the seasonal produce with some new specials over April.

Serving up our eggs florentine with Seasonal greens + foraged wild garlic. Our kids, Ruben (7 yrs) + Beia (5 yrs) went to our near by woods in warrington with us to collect the wild garlic!

Also serving up sautéed locally produced asparagus...

We're serving it on the eggs benedict + eggs royale as well.

Fermenting afternoon.

Here's a few different ferments made today. It's a weekly job done by our chefs. Making large batches of kimchi to go in our kimcheese sandwiches and for our retail shelves// fermented cabbage for Reuben sandwiches// different types of vegetables + fruit pickled or fermented to sit alongside our brunch dishes.

Later, at Mother continues tomorrow evening with our pasta night.

PAPPARDELLE AL RAGU
100% egg yolk pasta, cured for 24 hours, then hand cut for a thick, silky but snappy nood.

This is our favourite version of a Bolognese sauce, aromatic and creamy, cooked low and slow for many hours. One of several pasta dishes available. We'll be serving Italian natty wines and aperitif on the night 🍷

Homemade egg pasta with slow cooked lentil ragu😋

This is one of our favourite sauces to make at home, the tomato sauce base is cooked for at least an hour for a full on rich flavour. After that, it's cooked with double cream, a bit of nutmeg, then finished with freshly grated parmasan.

Me (jane) + Wayne will be doing another Later, at Mother night on February 16th, where we'll be serving up our favourite homemade pasta plates. Tickets will be released soon!
