Hi all…..

For the many that have messaged, sorry but we are at full capacity for tomorrows Firework display. There is not an option to pay on the gate.

For those with tickets, the gates open at 5pm, the bonfire will be lit at approximately 6:30pm and the firework display is at 7:30pm.

Our lovely pub was on the judging route for Bootle in Bloom and we are delighted with this amazing result!
Well done to everyone who contributed but the biggest thanks go to our wonderful Sarah Obrien for taking such good care of our plants inside and outside the Lock!

We are beyond delighted to announce that in this years North West in Bloom Awards, Bootle won our second consecutive gold with another honour of being the best urban community! We always say In Bloom is such a team effort but it really is! This award belongs to all the volunteers, groups and growers who are too many to tag but have worked hard to showcase the vibrant, green, community minded Bootle that we know and love.

Anyone fancy a year off in 2025?!🤣😍

Another fun filled afternoon here at The Lock and Quay for our Halloween parties! 👻 The kids (and adults) looked amazing in their spooky costumes.

Over the last 72 hours we’ve made 19 scarecrows, carved 80 pumpkins, hosted 4 parties with 160 children with packed lunches and most importantly had lots and lots of fun 😁 We hope you have too.

We had such an amazing time at our first Scarecrow Building afternoon. 19 scarecrows completed and lots of fun was had by all. 😁

Quiz night tonight from 8pm with The soon to be infamous quiz nights with Joey Triviani Who will be getting this weeks coveted s**t prize and wooden spoon, and who will be this weeks champs?!

Friday we see the return of Jane and Brian’s Jam Session 🎸🎤🪕 this night is always very busy, so please get down early and get your name on the list if you’d like to get up and play‼️ it would be lovely to see some new faces. All abilities are welcome, just bring yourself and your instrument of choice.

Then we have a busy Saturday…….kicking things off at 5pm we have our first ever Canal of Light 💡 We have decorated canoes, lantern parades from the wonderful folks at Ykids and maybe an appearance from a dragon…….🐲 From 7:30pm in the pub we have a fundraiser for Zoe’s Place hosted by Paul and his amazing musician friends, donating their time for free. Any donations would be greatly appreciated on the night or using the QR code below 😁😁😁

So after our Canal Of Light event this Saturday, we have an amazing fundraiser for Zoe’s Place in the pub, organised by the lovely Paul.
