One Day Tooth Whitening Course – Incorporating Impression Taking
🗓️ Wednesday 13th November 10:30am - 6:30pm

ℹ️ This course is designed specifically for dental hygienists & dental therapists who would like to expand their knowledge and develop their skills by providing tooth whitening for patients, focusing on home and in-surgery techniques.

☑️ The course is both theory and hands-on, in line with GDC Scope of Practice and Enhanced CPD, whilst following the European and UK legislation concerning tooth whitening products.

This 1-day course is ideal for dental nurses wishing to increase their knowledge and understanding of implant dentistry.

Local Anaesthetics for Hygienists and Therapists This half day programme of study is designed to update and inform Hygienists and Therapists on the current trends and techniques in Local Anaesthetics appropriate to their scope of practice, with an opportunity to practice delivery techniques in a simulated environment.

Thursday 13th June
Suture Removal for Dental Nurses, Hygienists and Therapists

This course is for those working with oral surgery procedures: extractions, periodontal and implant surgery who wish to extend their scope of practice and gain additional skills carried out under the direction of a dentist.

Thursday 13th June
Placing Temporary Dressings for Hygienists & Therapists

This half day course aims to deliver an extended duties course in line with GDC scope of practice for Hygienists and Therapists who qualified pre 2002 or EU Hygienists looking to register with the GDC.

Full Arch Implant Prosthetics - 2 day course with Dr Andrew Dawood & Dr Susan Tanner.

14th & 15th March

This course will examine aspects of full arch implant reconstruction for patients who are edentulous or in their terminal dentition.

We will cover the treatment of patients who have ample bone available for conventional full arch implant treatments through to situations where less bone is available, including the All-on-4™ workflow, extreme atrophy and the use of zygomatic or short implants.

With an intermediate knowledge of implant treatment, the course will help you to extend your skills towards patients requiring full arch reconstruction.

Live procedures will include surgery and post-surgical impression technique, laboratory steps, immediate bridge placement, aspects of the definitive restorative workflow.

The Restoring Dental Implants in General Practice Course is back!

Taken by Dr Andrew Dawood & Dr Susan Tanner on the 25th & 26th January

This 2 day course aims to provide a detailed introduction to a range of skills and techniques which will enable you to promote the use of implants in your practice and confidently restore them.

Clinical Dental Photography - for dental nurses

Join our next half-day course on 30th June 2023.

This fun and practical day will give you confidence when taking clinical photographs and benefit chair-side nursing skills.

Photography has become an essential tool in daily clinical practice for most clinicians, and dental nurses can be extremely good at this and help compliment their clinicians work.

Objectives:

- To acquire the basic theoretical and practical concepts of photography to develop a high-quality technique.
- Understand the need for consent to capture. Storage and use of images appropriately will also be discussed.
- Use the settings and commands of the camera appropriately.
- Learn a photographic protocol to ensure the adequate number of intra-oral and extra-oral photographs are routinely taken.
- Discover the methods of storage, manipulation and presentation of clinical photography.
