When people ask me how many kids I have I say im a mum of 2, my little boy Ray 🙋and my little girl Iris 🐶. She's not just a pet to us, she was our first baby and our first Dog. When we moved to our ground floor garden Flat in Ealing from India my husband Paul and I decided that we would immediately have a dog of our own to fill the huge void that was left from having deeply loved and lost Oreo, my neighbour's pug back home in India.

Intent on getting another pug to replace the Oreo shaped hole in our hearts we reserved a little pug from a lovely breeder whom we found after several visits to pug breeders. She promised us a pup when she was ready to start her next litter.

While we were waiting we happened upon a post on Northfields Friends social group on here asking for help with dog sitting/boarding...We were so starved for the company of dogs 🐾 that we readily offered our services free of cost 🐶👍🏾🥰 and ended up meeting our little girl Iris for the first time.

To cut a really long story short we ended up offering to adopt her as her owner had come into a difficult situation and we haven't looked back since. I'm forever grateful to her owner for choosing to give her to us and for the existence of these amazing social FB groups as without it I would have never met Iris in the first place ❤️
