This is why music is good for your mental health, according to scientists Does listening to and playing classical music benefit the brain? Research shows there is a strong connection between music and mental health.
Our Early Ears and Music Makers classes are aimed at children from 3-7. The classes include singing, clapping, games with small instruments and rhythm games, all of which build up the fundamental skills needed to play an instrument - and they're fun too!
We also have vacancies for some instruments - please get in touch to find out more! Our number is 07948 167396 or send an email to [email protected]

What a concert!
We had a fantastic afternoon on Saturday at our concert celebrating our 30th Anniversary.
All of the ensembles played, including the debut performance of our bucket ensemble. The children in the Early Ears, Year 1 and Year 2 Music Makers all sang together, and we had some superb soloists. There was a special mention for the pupils that have achieved Grade 8 violin and Grade 8 Music Theory. Looking forward to the next 30 years!
The best thing we can do is put them in music ensembles.
Over the last few weeks we have been handing out the certificates from last term's ABRSM exams. We're very proud of all our students, but especially those that get to Grade 8 - and a distinction at Grade 8 is a real achievement!
Well done.
Music is for everyone.
Put them in a music ensemble.
We are delighted to welcome two new members of staff.
Edward Wing is our new piano teacher - also a band musician and former archaeologist!
Francis Macura is our new brass teacher, also offering aural training and GCSE/A-level Music support.
Do get in touch if you would like lessons in any of the above.
