Growing up on the Kent coast Peter always had a love for water – but it was only in his late 50s that he discovered his love for diving 🏊‍♂️

When diving lessons became available at the iconic London Aquatics Centre shortly after the London 2012 Olympics, Peter signed up straight away, fulfilling both his passion for water and for adrenaline 🦸‍♂️

Today, Peter has been diving for 10 years – and has no plans on stopping anytime soon!

From Coastline Dreams to Dives at the London Aquatics Centre 🌊✨

Growing up on the Kent coast, Peter always had a love for water and a taste for adventure.

When adult diving lessons became available at the iconic London Aquatics Centre in 2014, he jumped at the chance to fulfil his childhood dream of stunts and dives.

Inspired by his mother, who learned to swim at 65, Peter’s showing us it’s never too late to try something new 💪

He spent some time showing the team around Stevenage Arts & Leisure Centre, where he may have had a helping hand from our Gen Z intern 👀

Meet Derek, an incredible yoga teacher who’s been sharing his wisdom and passion for over 40 years! 🌟

Having spent his life as a dedicated sportsman, from cross-country running to football and squash, Derek now focuses on yoga daily to stay strong, flexible, and energised.

Derek still teaches two popular sessions at Stevenage Arts & Leisure Centre, where he continues to inspire us all to stay active at any age 🙌
