Life of an entrepreneur It’s less about skill, and more about drive.
A lot of people think that entrepreneurs have some rare combination of skill, luck, and intellect that makes them successful. That’s not the case for most entrepreneurs that I know.

Starting life as an entrepreneur or starting a business is like planting a sapling. First, you have to invest your time and money. Then, you must take care of it while expecting nothing in return. But when your start-up blossoms, it makes all the patience and hard work worthwhile.

Most entrepreneurs I have met, are just normal people who have abnormal drive and determination. Sure, you need to have a bit of skill in something, but no more skill than the average cubicle dweller. And, yes, you must be able to think, but it doesn’t take any extraordinary intellectual prowess to succeed at entrepreneurship.

One of the main things that sets an entrepreneur apart is something much deeper. It’s the drive. Call it hunger. Call it ambition. Call it whatever you want. Just don’t be misled into thinking that it has something to do with smarts or skills.
