Hello lovelies it’s been a while since We’ve been on here... Hayley (on her personal page ) will be running this FREE virtual circle starting this Wednesday...

Calling all mothers to be and new mamas...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Are you feeling lost in your lead up to birth? A little bit alone in the haze of new motherhood? Wanting a space to voice fears, be heard, feel held and supported and also a space to do that for others? This time more so than ever women are in need of this sacred space just as our elders have been doing for centuries? Why would we not need that sense of community now?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One where we have wise women to lean on, sisters to rally around and cheer us on, listen to and hold our fears, pamper, sympathise and respect one another. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And I am so excited to open up a virtual Prenatal Village circle to facilitate just that. It will be totally free for these first few weeks and then will move to a very small pay as you go basis. Though no commitments at all as we know how the ebbs and flows of motherhood can change minute time minute. There will be a loose but informative topic each week, some gorgeous breathing exercises, time for story telling, and space to release fears around pregnancy, birth or motherhood. More than anything just the feeling of a community of women that just ‘get it’ and time for you! (This one is mostly going to be pregnancy birth and new motherhood focused with a purely mother one coming after...)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Head to the link in bio to sign up to a zoom link and be kept in the loop.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
First circle: Next Wednesday 6th May 10am.

What will be happening over this strange period of time?
Hey mamas, it might feel a little scary for you right now and very uncertain. Where will I birth? Who will be allowed there? How can I get prepared while self isolating?
Rest assured that while our group in person classes are halted right now, we have online options to offer you. These will be done by video link and are ‘almost’ as interactive as in person. You’ll still get a book, access to the online resource hub and all of your relaxation MP3S to start your journey. If what you need is a little reassurance and rerouting of your original birth plan then these shorter sessions can also be done online.
DMs are always open for questions!

Is my baby too big?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You may have suddenly been told your baby or bump is measuring too big? This can obviously sound scary but what does it actually mean?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•A big baby is one that weighs over 8.13oz and we don’t actually know how much baby really does weigh until it’s earth side. We can only predict.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•You will likely be asked go in for a growth scan which you can accept or decline.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•The accuracy of a late scan to estimate fetal weight has an error of margin up to...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•One third of women being told their babies are big but only one in FIVE actually had one (utdwmed.org)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•You maybe told that risks of big baby are baby being ‘stuck’ (shoulder dystocia), risk of tearing, risk of bleeding and other scary things (for facts on these please head to evidencebasedbirth.com article cited below)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What do we know?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A big takeaway from the article is that it can actually be more harmful to suspect a big baby. This in itself has a danger of leading to triple the induction rate, quadruple the c section rate and 4x increase in maternal complications vs women who were not told they are having a big baby but had one anyway! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just going to show how an important role the brain plays in birth but also how easily it is to be categorised and as a result treated differently.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is just one of the potholes that you may need to consider and our course will give you the tools to be asking the right questions that help you make the right desicions for YOU and well as sourcing reliable information to get yourself informed!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you know what I learned yesterday? Trust your instincts 🙌🏻 people keep saying I’m big and baby is too fat so I decided to eat less (no fruits) between breakfast and lunch. And guess what happened???!!!! 🤔🙄 I felt horrible sick so ended up going to the doctor and feeling bad the whole afternoon. ALWAYS do what is best for you!!!!

Is birth a teamwork thang?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Birth can absolutely be something you do on your own (because obvs it’s your body) but also with the right people carefully selected around you, understanding your needs prior to the event, birth teamwork can be AMAZING ✨⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We haven’t shown our faces on here properly for a while so, heeey⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We are Hayley and Beth, two women who are passionate about anything pregnancy birth and motherhood related. Our work is very women centred and as well as doing our own thang (Beth is an energy healer and Hayley works with essential oils) we have come together to create a badass couples Hypnobirthing course and some new shorter workshops in the pipeline.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We have the privilege of personally experiencing very different births between us which enriches our ability to relate to every single woman (and their partner) that we encounter. The thread that ties us together is simply and powerfully... positive birth, birth confidence and women owning their birth experience however that may look for them.✨⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our course uses ALOT of evidence based info but also the importance of leaning into your own intuition, to combine the two and make the right choices FOR YOU! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Come and say hi on the feed or DMs and we would love to answer any questions you have around birth, the course, or postnatal...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
OR come and meet us in person next Tuesday 3rd 7pm for a gorgeous women’s only taster evening... tickets in bio or in Facebook events. Big love 💕 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What is this Hypnobirthing witchcraft?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The truth is, we have no magic wand, it is not one thing only that we do that suddenly gives you a better birth.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is a combination of tools, techniques, tips, a hell of a lot of evidence based information, a ton of helping you tune into intuition, and a lot of practice on your part and between you and your birth partner. ALL of this together helps stack the odd in your favour considerably for a better birth experience... and the question is really, after knowing all this, why would you not?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We have our next taster TOMORROW evening at 7pm where you can find out more on the above!! book tickets through link in bio or click on Facebook events to secure your spot (ladies only for this one!)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Timeline photos 24/02/2020

Have you thought about how to maximise your birth dream team? Have you thought about a doula? Do you know what one is?
Tomorrow at 1pm we are going live on our page (will put link in bio if you’re looking at this on insta) to chat to a real life doula to ask her allll those questions! So, what do you want to know- post your question in the comment OR join us over on stories to let us know what you’d like to ask. And join us over on the live ❤️
Thanks to for sharing this gorgeous image ❤️
“Will doula support replace my partner?” One of the most frequently asked questions during an interview……. This is such a special picture to me, and signifies without saying a word, how doula support can look during labor. The mom is leaning into her partner, hands and hearts connected, physically supported, while I am using counter pressure and massage, verbally supporting her through the waves of surges.
Creating a secure and calm space, so partners are free to love on the laboring woman, without having to worry about all of the details is what I strive to provide.
My hands and heart are my most used tools. I provide gentle, verbal encouragement through each stage of labor, reminding moms to listen to their bodies and walking them through what to expect in the upcoming stage. Offering suggestions when needed to assist in progression of labor and managing her contractions.
My goal is for families to leave their birth experience feeling supported, a part of the decision making process and truly cared for as they bring their baby earth side.

Hi Beth, just wanted to introduce you to our little girl born on the 23rd May at 1:23pm weighing 8 pounds 3. As we discussed in our sessions and as it turned out it was worth having an open mind and a few birth plan options. We ended up having to have our little girl via a c section after 48 hours of latent labour and contractions and honestly found hypnobirthing helped us through all the challenges we faced before welcoming her to the world. As a couple we felt a shared responsibility around the decisions we had to face and I was given the support and love I needed. We were also able to ask key questions and make informed decisions. One being us asking for a different midwife as well as not having a trainee in the room. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just wanted to thank you for really making me feel more calm and knowledgable around birth and also making my partner feel the same we were an absolute team and it made the world of difference 😍

Can C Birth be calm and positive?
Absolutely!!! How beautiful is this calm, respectful and peaceful way of welcoming a little baby into the world via c-birth. Sometimes we need a little extra help and if you do then we want you to feel powerful and positive about your choices in how baby is brought earth side. Tomorrow we have a lovely c-birth testimonial explaining how Hypnobirthing was still very much needed for that positive experience...

In The Birth Projects theme of this week- reconnecting, reaffirming your worth, tuning inwards, learning how to listen to your body, your intuition... what are you doing TODAY to honour this? Even better- can you do this 1 minute practice NOW?
Wherever you are, feel the breath enter your nostrils as you inhale slowly... fill up your lungs, breathe down into your heart centre, if it helps place a hand over your heart chakra, imagine breathing in love and peace, gentleness and the reminder you are enough...and now slowly exhale, breathing out any tension, judgement, any negative emotion, ask yourself what you can let go of.... Take a moment to notice how your body feels and let us know 👇
Sending love to you all mamas ✨

Last night we were discussing the heightened emotions of becoming a mother and talking about the importance of staying in your own lane and taking time to connect inwardly with you.

Everyone will Birth their own way. Mother their own way. And it’s so important to hold, love and support yourself along your journey. Trusting that you are enough and what you are doing is enough. It’s doesn’t need to perfect or like anyone else. Your perfectly imperfectly journey will be / is more than ENOUGH…

Be realistic with your expectations. Kind as you learn and grow. Know you are enough.

This happened on Saturday...was such a pleasure and privilege to spend the day with you guys and can’t wait to continue supporting your journey 😍

・・・
So on Saturday we spent the day with the amazing and some other beautiful couples and learnt all about Hypnobirthing. Although I touched upon this with my first pregnancy, it was so good to go back and reflect on what I could have done differently first time round and remind myself of the tools I need to use to remain calm during birth. For anyone who thinks Hypnobirthing is a bit hippy dippy for them, it’s really not! There’s so much science and practical information involved. So for anyone looking to have a a positive and calm birth experience I definitely recommend Beth & Hayley at the ❤️ Thanks so much guys for an amazing day, we are feeling super confident and excited for our birth this time round! .
