Too many traders start with wildly unrealistic expectations of how much money they can make because they compare everything to the wild gains they saw from GameStop, Dogecoin, and Bitcoin.

And to be brutally honest, most of the huge gains that we made during those times came from VERY high-risk plays where they would likely lose money if they tried repeating it 100 times.

Even 1-3% a day is very aggressive, but still achievable if you're trading options.

But that's only achievable if you have the proper setups and discipline to take high-quality trades.

If you're consistently aiming for more aggressive returns on each trade and trying to force every trade, you will get destroyed by the market.

If you go into anything with the mindset of "this will be easy," then you might as well not even try.

Great transformations take a time to mature.

To all the traders who have been in the game for over a year, do you agree with this?

This may sound f*cking crazy, but hear me out.

Have you ever got a new car 🚗(or someone you know got one), then you started seeing that car EVERYWHERE?

Did the cars just start to “appear”?

…or were they there the whole time, but you didn’t NOTICE them until now? 🤔

Look, there is a part of your brain called the “Reticular Activation System” (or “RAS”) that spans an extensive portion of your brainstem.

The job of your RAS is to filter data around you.

Your brain can only process so much data at a time.

So your RAS will filter the data, and only let in what it thinks is important.

Meaning, there were just as many of those cars of around you before. You just didn’t notice them!

When you got that new car, you programmed it into your RAS, and that brought them to your attention 🤯

❌If you focus on problems, your RAS will help you notice more problems
