Meet Choking Charlie!✨

He is new to the training academy and is a helpful tool that lets support workers practice what to do if someone is choking.

Choking can happen suddenly, especially when working with people who have trouble swallowing or are more at risk. By using Choking Charlie, support workers can safely practice important life-saving skills.

This practice helps them feel more confident and prepared to handle real emergencies, ensuring they can keep the people they care for safe.🫂

Our summer camp at SweetTree Farming For All is coming to an end this week!

This fantastic initiative created alongside Active Day Camps aims to create unforgettable experiences for all children attending, whatever their needs, and we are thrilled to see that it has achieved just that. 💚 The mother of an attendee sent us this wonderful feedback about our summer camp that truly warmed our hearts!

It's courgette season🌱

We have some VERY healthy courgettes this year at SweetTree Farming For All and our co-farmers love watching them grow!

Our farm is the perfect environment to learn about horticulture and nature in a safe and fun space, guided by our specialist team. So, if you have a child with additional needs or who just loves the outdoors, make sure to contact us about our summer farm camp (half and full days available to book).

Nothing fills us with more joy than seeing one of our clients regain their independence and be able to live on their own again. Leo came to us after a traumatic brain injury having lost many of his life skills, which he had to relearn with the help of his support workers. 💚

Kevin, one of them, played a crucial role in his recovery. He not only created a special connection with Leo but also prepared a plan to identify his specific needs and support him with them. In his case, this was around his confidence and energy to do the things he loved the most.🤗

Today, Leo has regained independence and can live on his own! In his own words, Kevin 'brought a smile back' into his life.

We started our live-in lounge initiative to bring a sense of community to our live-in support workers, who can often feel isolated due to their work patterns. Last week, we introduced our new live-in team, shared a chat and a cold drink to cope with the heat, and played some games to get to know each other better. 🎲

A SUMMER CAMP TO REMEMBER🌞

We're excited to announce that we have teamed up with Active Day Camps to create the most unique summer camp for children of all abilities to come together💚

Say hello to our newborn chicks!🐥

We are so excited to have welcomed some new chicks at SweetTree Farming For All in the past week. Our co-farmers had a chance to watch them form inside their eggs and finally hatch! What a wonderful opportunity to learn about nature and biology in such a unique environment. 💚

We really enjoyed celebrating our cultures last week with a lovely food exchange 🍜🌮🍛

At SweetTree, we are lucky to have a very diverse team and want to take any possible occasion to celebrate it! Last Thursday, we organised a food exchange for everyone to share delicious food from their countries and cultural backgrounds. We tasted some wonderful Ghanaian banku and okra stew, Polish pierogi, Portuguese arroz de pato, Romanian salata de vinete... and much more!

We had the pleasure of welcoming the J.P. Morgan team on Tuesday 25th June for a corporate volunteering day at our Farming For All 💚

The volunteers had a great time on this hands-on day. They were busy with lots of helpful tasks, such as cleaning some unwanted plants, trimming grass, and of course, meeting the animals!
