Following the Lockdown in many countries, Afghanistan has followed suit!
It is better to act now and slow the spread of the virus rather than wait on the peak, then it will be too late! We call on all to follow Afghanistan's Ministry of Health’ advice rather than waiting as an underdeveloped nation Afghanistan's residents are in a less advantage position then the majority rest of the world. Non-essential travelling would need to be stopped to further stop the spread of the virus. As Afghanistan’s diaspora organisations ‘we are in this together with you'.

Please play your part in stopping spreading the virus and in also helping the less advantage peers to go through these unpleasant critical times.

Street vendors, the homeless sleeping rough on the streets of Kabul and across Afghanistan, restaurant staff, artists, students, rent payers, health care colleagues, teachers, older people, sick people, healthy people, orphanages’ staff members, orphans, widows, soldiers’ dependents, are all going to be economically affected and need urgent support at this critical time.

Afghan Action invited to a cultural event held and organised by, Better Life, a charity registered in the U.K. at Hilton Doubletree Pimlico. Better life also serves the needs of Tajikistanies living in poverty. It was great to see how music, art and culture brought people of different backgrounds closer. The event also included speeches by Khan Foundation Reps.. It was interesting to learn more about the challenging yet rewarding work of charities globally.

Please share with those individuals who are in search of their loved ones in Greece. Also, those organisations who may have a list of lost/deceased in the waters of Greece,please help .

رد افغان های ناپدید شده در این کشور، روی دست گرفته است.
به دنبال آنکه سیلی از پناهجویان افغانستان به کشورهای اروپایی رو آوردند، شماری از شهروندان افغانستان در این سفر ناپدید شدند و شماری از خانواده ها در این سفر، عزیزان شان را از دست دادند.
سفارت افغانستان در یونان در کنار سایر برنامه های دیپلماتیک و تلاش ها برای حل چالش های مهاجران افغان در این کشور، در جستجوی این ناپدید شدگان برآمده است.
خانواده های که به دنبال بستگان خود هستند که در مسیر اروپا ناپدید شده و یا در گذر از آب های مدیترانه و یونان جان های شان را از دست داده اند، میتوانند اطلاعات و مشخصات بستگان شان را با سفارت شریک ساخته تا این سفارت در همکاری با دولت یونان و سازمان های بین المللی رد آنان را پیدا کند.
قرار است سراج الحق سراج شارژ دافیر سفارت افغانستان به منظور بدست آوردن اطلاعات لازم؛ در هماهنگی با نهادهای زیربط از گورستان های گمنام در یونان بازدید کند .
به اطلاع هموطنان عزیز مان رسانیده می شود جهت همکاری، مشخصات و اطلاعات بستگان ناپدید شده شان را از این دریچه و یا یکی از نمایندگی های وزارت خارجه در اختیار ما قرار بدهند تا مسوولان سفارت آنرا بررسی و دنبال نمایند. سفارت افغانستان در آتن در تلاش است تا در این زمینه نهایت سعی وتلاش به خرج بدهد و اطلاعات و سهولت های بیشتری را در این زمینه، در اختیار هموطنان گرامی قرار دهد.

Shakardokht Jafari

Winner of Innovate UK’s 2016 Women in Innovation Awards for her entrepreneurialism, Shakardokht Jafari is recognised for her achievements in cancer care. She built a ground-breaking radiation detection system using glass beads to improve radiation treatment, save lives and reduce costs.

Mother of two, Shakardokht is the CEO and founder of Truelnvivo and she worked as an Assistant Professor at Kabul Medical University.

Shakardokht was born in Daikondi province, Afghanistan, in 1977. Her father - a teacher - taught lessons in their home because there was no school in their village. When Shakardokht was six, the family left Afghanistan due to intense fighting and insecurity. She attended primary school in Tehran, Iran and, despite family objections, managed to cancel an arranged marriage and complete her high school studies.

Shakardokht entered Tehran Medical University in 1996 to study Radiology. By that time her father had changed his mind and decided to support her, however as he had six children he could not afford much and she faced financial hardship. However, after one semester, a UNHCR DAFI refugee scholarship enabled her continue her education. Shakardokht graduated with a BSc in Radiology from Tabriz Medical University, Iran, in 2000 with the highest honors in her class. She then worked for three years as a radiation technologist in Tabriz before returning to Afghanistan as an assistant lecturer at Kabul Medical University (KMU).

Shakardokht decided to study for a PhD at the University of Surrey in 2013 to further her knowledge of radiation therapy, having become involved in a long-term project with the International Atomic Energy Agency to set up the country’s first radiotherapy centre since the war.
